CRAP... I gotta head out to study in a bit, and there's still about 2 hours left to go!

PLUS I'll be getting my EU Gears of War LE today...

Between these two awesome games, I think I won't be studying today... :( :( :(

You know with the cock up that is the release date of Gears of War for PAL regions. I’m thousand times more thankful that Bungie (in my region anyway) released the (H2) game on the exact same date as U.S.A, and thanks to timezones we got a copy before the U.S.A too.

Bungie care about PAL. :) Which is more then I can say for 99% of the video gaming industry it seems.

Can't wait to see High res screens of H3. :D

Actually, Gears of War is actually one of the tiniest occurances where the US and PAL versions didn't come out in the same week, and I'm sure it's because they wanted to meet demand in the US - I'm glad it was only roughly a week's difference compared to the months it takes other consoles... one of the things I always liked about the Xbox/Xbox 360...

And you bet I loved the fact that we got Halo 2 at about the same time as the US!

Well it hits NZ/AUS on the 23rd of this month which is next Thursday. :( For a game as big as Gears I was really disappointed in the delay, but it made me appreciate Bungie’s efforts a lot more when it came to Halo 2. :)

Ah, I see...

I guess it just comes down to the fact that Halo 2 was done long before the official date to REALLY print alot of copies (the French version got leaked like 3 weeks in advance right?) - when GoW went gold, I believe it started shipping right away...

Gears is f'ing huge, no doubt, but I guess they wanted to get that game to the fans as soon as possible, plus it didn't establish itself to be a juggernaut like Halo 2 was yet, since it was new to everyone - so if there's a Gears of War 2, you can bet that they'll make it a worldwide release also...

But back to the topic - about an hour left! And I'm about to leave in a few, but you better believe I'll find a PC to read the news!

Naturally *both* my daughters were just crying. The young one has a cold, the four year-old didn't eat her dinner and woke up hungry. I thought for sure they'd let me sleep past 2:00. :(

The perfect alarm clock would have woken me up at 1:57, to the gradually rising crecendo of the Halo theme.

Two kids screaming their lungs out right in the deep stage of REM sleep =/= perfect.

But hey, I'm up and enjoying the anticipation. And hoping to god the little one passes back out now. :)
 
The Halo 3 commercial better include new footage and not just re-edited footage of the E3 trailer, I HATE WHEN THAT HAPPENS.
