Pilot Roads could also do the trick. Feel pretty excellent on my Ulysses. No real noticeable decrease in grip compared to the Powers I have on the other two bikes.

I must say, after a few hours just messing around, this is a really fun game. Tons of bikes, nice selection of tracks, and a nice feel. I think it's the closest we will get to a modern Tourist Trophy. It's also only 23 bucks on cd keys, if you play on PC.

Lovely. I couldn't own one though, I'd be terrified of so much as looking at it the wrong way

I really admire people who buy these super-rare bikes and just ride them around, though.

Went for a nice 2 hour blast over the weekend to Alton area. Grabbed a quick coffee at Bahnstormer and then back home. Also managed to give the bike a good wash and its first layer of ACF.

Its looking good till the next ride. I need to get the miles up so I can take it for its first service.

It looks like it is to the MTS1200 as the Monster 821 is to the M1200 - double swingarm, less fancy bits.

Oh, okay. Only 3 bikes? That seems like a lot of hoopla for 3 bikes. Did they show any changes to the current lineup of bikes?

I may have phrased that badly. Did they outline if any existing bikes are getting updates? (i.e. 2017 bikes getting changes from their 2016 counterparts).

Ah I just didn't post everything!

They covered

- some new scrambler models (cafe racer and an off-road one)
- the already announced supersport
- the multistrada 950
- redesigned monster 1200 (very similar to the current one)
- monster 797
- superleggera

I think that was everything... oh they also announced that their pre owned bikes will all come with 2 year warranties now...

Based on the updated CRF250L, the CRF250L Rally adds a wide range of changes that make it a unique proposition in the market, with styling inspiration from the Team HRC CRF450 Rally race machine. I am glad about the GS, its using the same frame and I would like to fit that headlight/wind deflector on my scrambler. I love how they kept with the original GS colours.

It looks like they have taken the scrambler, painted the tank white/stuck on some decals, swapped the brown seat for red and stuck a flyscreen and mudguard on

... and I love it
the exhaust on the scrambler is cooler though

yes that is what it looks like, Just had a closer look at that link and all of the parts look the same as the scramber. Yes the exhaust does look a bit more special on the scrambler.

This is the old R80GS 1986 model. This one is the Dakar version. The base version did not have the flyscreen.

I saw this thing on twitter this morning and its just absolutely insane. Its more engine and less of everything else. Awesome. They are building bikes that I would like to have on my wall.

It's been a week of shopping! No photos but I got...

New winter gloves - Rev'it Borealis GTX. Really nice. Had two rides in the cold rain and completely dry and warm. And they're not super bulky. Nice closing mechanism which is easy with one hand.

Wind collar - Rev'it Karma WSP. It's a wind collar. Not much to say.

Boots - Rokker Urban Racer Boots. I needed some boots to wear under work trousers for when I take my bike to meetings. These are a bit OTT but really nicely made.

Heh, I feel that way about my 'Euro 3' Ducati which is the loudest stock pipe I've ever heard. I swear the European manufacturers bribe the testers whereas the Japanese don't bother

The Euro 4 pipes on the Diavel are a bit of a disappointment though

Apologies for my absence, have been in Iran for about eight days now. I can report that while a lot of the people of Iran do ride motorcycles, out of the thousands I've seen, just one was a 'proper' big bike. I'm serious, just one, and it was part of a police escort. A Suzuki Bandit. The rest are all made-in-Thailand Honda 125 type bikes. Am really hoping those sanctions are lessened so Iran can get in on some of that v-twin goodness somewhere down the line, they deserve it.

Sounds like China, everyone rode fake Honda CG125s or electric scooters. I saw *one* dude on a Harley in Shanghai

The police bike I spied in Beijing was pretty cool though
