Seeing Deftones and Dillinger Escape Plan tonight in SF. I didn't even know they were playing here till just yesterday! Very excited.

I just got back from Bonnaroo today. It was the best experience I have ever had with music. There were so many shows it was not possible to see everything, but I managed to get to:

J Cole
Atmosphere
Old Crow Medicine Show
STS9
Bassnectar
Pretty Lights
Mumford and Sons
G Love and the Special Sauce
Primus
The Strokes
Robert Plant and the Band of Joy
Gregg Allman
The Black Keys
Buffalo Springfield (with Neil Young and some other people)

These were all excellent shows except for J. Cole, who I only really saw because all of my buddies were going. STS9 played from 2:30-7:30 in the morning, and was by far my favorite show of the trip.

So yeah the Deftones show was great. Dillinger Escape Plan were crazy and Le Butcherettes (whom i'd never heard before) were also fun.

And sheeeeeeiiiiiit Flying Lotus in SF on the 24th. If I have the cash I just might try to go.

Saw:

Queens of The Stone Age
Dragonette
Kidstreet
Gerry Dee

Seeing:
Foo Fighters
Weezer
Tragically Hip
Hey Rosetta!
Buck 65
Blink 182
My Chemical Romance
Rise Against

Possibly more to come!

how were fucked up?

the were really awesome, even outside of pink eyes theatrics. just a really tight hardcore band. crowd eats up those theatrics making it something special. though he kinda body pressed me aginst the wall at one point and his back is so gross.

jeff the brotherhood the touring opener is fucking awful.

My tickets just arrived for a Queens of the Stone Age one off show here in Seattle at the Showbox. 1000 seats, small club, totally awesome!!

I want to take a road trip to NY to see the Big 4 soooo bad! I hope the come to Chicago! The perfect Midwest spot :)

Other than that, I know I'm gonna see the Judas Priest Epitaph tour! I love Priest and I love Black Label!!

My tickets for the High Voltage festival just arrived (taking my brother on the Sunday for a birthday present. We're both huge Dream Theater fans). Also got Iron Maiden at the O2 on the 6th of August coming up, too.
I sadly missed out on some Devin Townsend tickets for shows he's doing in London, but I've heard on the rumour mill that he's going to be playing one of my favourite of his albums in its entirety in London sometime soon...
Also, a friend of mine let me know that Machine Head are playing in December, so I'm totally going to that show!

My busy week of concerts has ended,

Glastonbury was amazing, saw so much stuff and got me into some new stuff too.

Glee was alright. Nice to see Gwyneth Paltrow as a surprise appearance even if she can't sing well.

Take That was great, the set was amazing. I stood right at the front and got to see underneath Robbie Williams and have Mark Owen sing right to me. Shame about the crowd but I knew what to expect!

Next up is Bruno Mars in August and I'm still hoping to score some iTunes Festival tickets but no luck so far.

Jimmy Eat World - HMV Forum, Kentish Town, London - 23/06/11

[edit] Just ordered 2 tickets for Parkway Drive at the IndigO2, Greenwich, London next April :D They're balcony seats, first row, right in the middle ;D

Bob Newhart! That's pretty neat.

Is "Tea Party" the Canadian band or something else?

Yep, the Canadian band :) I work for a company that sets up and runs shows in my city so I get to see them all for free, I'm a camera operator and stage hand :D

Huh! I had no idea the Tea Party had gotten back together, especially since Jeff Martin just released another solo album not too long ago. Enjoy the show!

Portishead. Seattle. Day after my birthday. Holy shiiiit.
Nice! I'm pretty excited about their ATP US thing they are putting on this year. Though I'm secretly more excited to watch movies at the criterion theater thing.
