going back to the GSW playoffs thread. Man lot of dumb shit said by everyone including me. I was almost as bad as Branduil. I was calling for the mavs to trade Dirk and try to get a post presence like KG or JERMAINE O'NEAL. jesus christ. The Warriors series made me delirious.

WOW. ESPN just had a stat saying the differential between Lenron's PPG average in the regular season vs. his substantially smaller PPG average in the Finals was the largest such differential in NBA history.

Good thing the Mavs are well-known for their legacy of putting world-class defensive squads on the floor, or else that statistic would imply Lebron being a massive, massive choker.

I'm still expecting to wake up and it was all a dream. I mean it's so surreal, if you wrote a fan fiction playoffs of a Mavs title run, it would play out basically like this. Multiple comebacks in every series, Spurs losing in the first round as a #1 seed, sweeping the Lakers, Dirk destroying the Heat in the Finals. The only difference is that in the fan fiction version Roddy plays and becomes the second coming of Chris Paul, and Butler pulls a Willis Reed in the Finals.

I was just thinking about Roddy earlier today. It seems strange that I almost forgot he was on the team. The icing on the cake was Eric Dampier didn't get a pity ring for being on the Heat.

I like how Cuban being silent resulting in more fair calls ironically proves that he was getting screwed.

Letting Carter be the first to touch the trophy was classy. The Heat should take notes.
