LAWL

Yet, the team that was better than the 2009 Cavs got smashed on in 5 in the Finals.

Pretty sure I was talking about the current Laker team, the one with post-op Pau, Kobe Turkoglu and Steve Blake. Anderson Varejao is superior to all of those players.

Awesome story, man.

Meanwhile your GM continues to give Dwight Howard reasons to go anywhere but Orlando with his amazing trades.

I like the chances my team has to attract talent, post the summer of 2012.

Do you?

Lakers stans sure got worked up over my (true) statement of Kobe sucking at defense and hence not being able to stop LeBron 1v1. Only Black Mamba would actually suggest otherwise.

I don't recall ever saying anything about a 1-on-1.

Now about that (true) statement of Orlando getting handled by The Lakers, oh nevermind cause some other non-Orlando team beat the Lakers recently, my bad.

You have done nothing but re-direct the argument around JJ Bareas, Mike Browns and other nonsense.

You team got completely smashed by the Lakers in a H2H and it wasn't even close.

When faced with those facts, you start rattling off unrelated bullshit.

Yeah my team is getting older and this group of Lakers may or may not chip again but guess what?

There was Jerry
There was Wilt
There was Kareem
There was Magic
There was Ceballos
There was O'Neal
There was Kobe
There was Gasol

There will be others.

You had Shaq on loan for a few years, wasted Penny and Anderson (Mr. Clutch 2.0) and now you are praying Dwight takes pity on your team and stays.

But feel free to keep moving the goalposts and the subjects.

It's all you guys have at this point.

Well they can beat the bobcats and you can't.

Magicks > Lakers
The Mavs have never lost to the Bobcats. They've also never lost a single game to Pau Gasol in the playoffs. Coincidence?

See?

This is how you talk shit--when your team ACTUALLY beats the Lakers in the playoffs.

Not when you let old man Derek Fisher do you in the Finals.

Fun fact: Gail Goodrich is the most important Laker ever and was better than Baylor. Lakers with Baylor=0 rings. Lakers with Goodrich=Ring. Without the ring, Kareem doesn't want to come to LA. Without Goodrich, the Lakers can't swindle the Jazz out of future picks that become Magic Johnson (brb, slitting my wrists), without Magic and Kareem, Shaq and Kobe don't want to come to LA. Most important Laker of all time.

Whatever mama, you whined like a bitch and somehow resorted to defending Mike Brown when I strawmanned your strawman that had nothing to do with Kobe sucking at defense and hence not being able to handle LeBron 1v1.

And without Marty going back, he will never meet the Doc, and thereby influence him earlier with hard evidence to create the Flux Capacitor which allows Marty to go back in time in the first place.

Fisher was still a decent player two years ago, especially when the other team didn't guard him on the three-point line for some reason.

Now, though, he sucks so hard that the owners canceled basketball when they realized he was the union leader.

How many games has Mike Brown lost as the Lakers Head Coach?

Clowns are hurr hurr hurring the shit outta the guy when he hasn't even had a chance to fail yet.

Can a St. Louis fan really claim the Mavs?

Phil was a really overrated coach, Brown isn't that big of a downgrade.

Phil's staff was not overrated tho.. Mike Brown's won't be as well :(

11 rings son. Overrated or not...numbers don't lie in that category

His first six he won with Michael Jordan.

For the next three, he had two of the three best players in the league and his team failed multiple times.

The next two were fine coaching jobs, but he was completely tuned out by his team at the end and had the most talent in the league when his teams won.

I wish my computer could handle games more graphically intensive than original Half-Life and Starcraft II at its lowest settings.

Apparently The Enhanced edition fixed all that and improved loading times by 80% and a bunch of other improvements.

Okay then why doesn't Doug Collins have a ring? Or Rudy T?

I thinking coaching in basketball overall is overrated as if you have the best players the nyou will win a lot of games but as we saw this Final to get over that hump you have to be able to put your best players in the right spots..Phil did that.

He didn't give a shit this season and was thinking about fucking Jeanie during games and how great it will be at the ranch and shit, Phil tuned out his own team because he was tired of it all. Phil is legit man.

How many coaches have actually won a title without having the most talent in the league?

Unorlando.

Most overall talent or just best talent?

Branduil said:

Very few! But that Phil only did what all other coaches did and couldn't really bring that much more stability to his teams than other coaches means that he wasn't very important and I don't think the Lakers will suffer much from going from Phil to Brown.

Rings Jeffrey, Shaq and Kobe had before Phil:

Conversation over.

And for the record, those 97-98 Lakers teams had WAY more talent than Phil had in 2000.

That was when Sheed actually gave a crap.

they only had 4 (tayshaun not in) and that was some serious bullshit just because they were doing well as a team. rip hamilton an all star? i mean lol

lol the 98 Lakers had no second option who was a high level player in the league, that is not more talent. Pippen was also pretty average before Phil but that was because he was really young and raw.

Antonie Walker was an All-Star too...

Ben Wallace was the only all-star in the year they won..

That's why (even though he's insane) I like Brandi.

He gives a fuck about the Mavs doing well (when he's not wishing death on the second best player on the team) not what the fuck my team is doing or not doing.

And he's the only one here that has the right to talk shit about the Lakers getting swept for all the shit we gave him in past years.

"Dirk is getting far too much credit. His offense was about as valuable, maybe less so than Rip Hamilton's was. It was the entire Mavs teams 3 point shooting + teammates covering for Dirk on Defense that won. Dirk definitely wasn't carrying the team." -RealGM poster
