Ok, well the players have no leverage except to agree to most of their demands.

The shorter contract of 5 years gives them more bargaining power in a shorter time.

Yeah, and an embarrassingly bad public transportation system, traffic that slows things to a crawl, and urban sprawl that makes going from one place to the other a matter of miles and hours and not blocks and minutes.

I don't want to hate on LA too much because of this, but transportation is clearly one of its flaws.
 
Yeah there is no way a superstar basketball player with millions upon millions of dollars could get his hands on a CD early, even though you know he is friends with Jay-Z who signed J.Cole in the first place.

This just tells me you don't drive enough. Aside from when one of the main streets is shut down, you can get around the city fairly easy if you know the roads. Now, if you have to take freeways every day, then yes, shit can't be helped. Plug in your iPod.

And public transportation is a joke precisely to force you to get a car.

Are you actually defending LA's transportation system? I think the lockout must be causing terrible hallucinations and delusions.

The whole west coast auto industry developed in LA in the early 20th century as a means of artificially growing the of the basin after the whole mulholland water scandal made a ridiculous population boom possible. YOU'RE BUYING INTO CORPORATE GREED MANNNNNNNNNN!

No, I'm saying that once you learn the streets, it's manageable. Freeways always suck, yes, but, thats the same anywhere, people drive like shit up here.

And public transportation sucks, but be real, if you're dating in So cal, you need a car.

Outsiders are fucked when it comes to L.A. traffic. But an OG like me has no issues getting from point A to point B with the quickness.

Pretty much this. It's one reason I hate living in Spokane. In Spokane people drive like they have the entire day with no worries or responsibility. La de da. GET OUT THE WAY BITCH!!!!! In L.A. everybody drives like they're being chased by death.

I'm doing traffic school online right now. Waiting for the timer to finish counting down before I can move on to the next section.

And just so you don't simply wait out the timer and move on, you actually have to do some reading because they insert random sentences in the middle of nowhere that have nothing to do with the subject matter which you have to identify before moving on.

This is such bullshit.

lol wut? Last time I had traffic school I was able to literally click 'NEXT' 'NEXT' 'NEXT'. And all of the answers to the questions were highlighted so you could just copy paste into note pad and be done.

Yea. Never do comedy themed. I've done traffic school two times in my life. The first time I actually had to attend the class for the entire day which SUCKED BALLS. The second time I did it online and that was easy peesy. I haven't gotten a ticket in 4 1/2 years (although I've been pulled over three times since then lol) and Spokane doesn't offer traffic school.
