Someone tell me what happened in that "My friend cheated" thread. I can't read through like a million fucking pages, but I know one of you did.

Sure, but they were stopped while wearing rings. The Magic were stopped while wearing...?

More like they were stopped while their HOF coach was getting booed out of Staples and being replaced by Mike Brown.

Sure but they were still wearing that 2010 championship ring =D

Summary from Satchwar

OP is OP
OP's cheating friend is Batman
Wife of OP's cheating friend is Catwoman

So Batman has been cheating on Catwoman, and sending pictures of the women he has sex with to the OP. OP is now annoyed with the behavior because he feels it's immature. Catwoman is OP's really good family friend, and he doesn't like her being hurt by this.

So OP decides to tell his mother because he thinks she'll keep the secret for him forever, but he was wrong because his mother was going to tell if the OP didn't.

So OP is forced by his mother to grow a pair and tell, but instead of telling the complete truth about the multiple women Batman has been sleeping with, he says that it's only happened once and that Batman feels bad about what he's been doing (hint: Batman DOESN'T really feel bad about what he's been doing at all). OP lied even more so as to cover Batman's ass when he should have just told the truth, and now Catwoman is in for a world of hurt in the future when she finds out the rest.

OP feels proud of himself for covering up for his cheating friend.

Also OP and Batman have a history of sending pictures of their dicks to each other.

- OP wants his friend to stop cheating on his wife and sending him pictures of the girls and/or his cock
- OP tells his mother about it
- OP's mother threatens to tell the friend's wife if OP doesn't do it
- OP tells friend's wife but cops out and makes his friend look like he made a one-time honest mistake instead of the truth that he is remorsely smanging any pussy he can find
- Wife buys it and friend gets off scott free

What number do you think Dwight will wear once he pulls a Shaq on you guys?

I'm hoping "0" to commemorate the number of rings he won in Orlando.

Dude, you can keep pointing to "hurr, hurr, hurrs" all you want.

Truth is, your team got handled, H2H, in a lazy swept and the only reason you got that one is because Rafer played out of his mind.

Next year the Lakers coach got worse and The Magic didn't get any better.

Phil Jackson left so that first part was to be expected and Orlando is in fact ...Orlando so I suppose both parts were expected.

Here's to another year of Orlando "Basketball".

You and the grunt said we didn't work, "at all". We didn't get better. We made it to the finals simply because we were "hot".

Everybody knew the offense was "free flowing". Thats not what I am disputing.
So you have nothing to contribute besides "lol no"?

Orlando's very own JJ Barea...oh what.

He showed in that transgender girl scout thread that despite being the best debate captain his city has ever seen, he doesn't care much for facts.

After my team chipped 2 years prior.

THE LAKERS HUNG BANNERS, ONE AT YOUR TEAM'S EXPENSE.

THE MAGIC HAVE WON 1 GAME IN 9 FINALS GAMES.

Reply to that without using a "hurr hurr, some other team that beat the Lakers" straw man.

You can't.

You're done.

I cosign iamshadowlark when he says Lebron didn't show up all series. The 4th quarter nonsense is actually giving lebron a PASS.

He sucked all series, he played ok in game 1, then was a disaster the rest of the series. Wade made some mistakes in crucial times, but Wade is the only reason that team was as close as they were, he played Dirk to a T pretty much.

Wade shouldn't get shit at ALL for that series. Not one bit. Wade's problem is that he disappears in meaningless games, Lebron's problem is that he disappears in meaningful games. I would MUCH RATHER have the former, than the latter...

Also...speaking of the Chicago series. Let's calm it down a bit with Lebron's defensive ball washing. Lebron in near his athletic prime guarded Rose for half of the fourth quarter. Big deal.

Kobe guarded Westbrook and CP3 for AN ENTIRE GAME.
Not to mention he basically shut down Rondo all 2010 finals. Rondo's only good game was game 2 when Kobe was in foul trouble.

CP3 in game 1 of the 11 playoffs 33 pts /14 assists/7 boards (Kobe not guarding him)
CP3 in game 2 of the 11 playoffs 20 pts/9 assists/ 3 boards (Kobe guarding him)

Whynotbrook in game 5 of 2010 playoffs 15 points/6 assists/5 rebounds/8 turnovers / 30% shooting

Lebron getting credit for shit he never did is at such high levels that the compliments are exaggerated and the insults are toned down

Maybe you guys can share with us some more Dwight in LA fanfiction. I mean, I previously was a believer that all fanfiction was stupid BS until the Lakers got swept by JJ Barea with Phil Jackson getting booed at Staples and was subsequently replaced by Mike Brown.

CP3 in game 2 of the 11 playoffs 20 pts/9 assists/ 3 boards (Kobe guarding him)

ahahaha you state this like thats not kobe getting buttfucked by paul

he managed to keep him to only 20 points a game! thats not 30 points! what a glorious defender

Dwight in LA?

I've never posted that he was coming to LA (although others here have) but go ahead with your strawmen.

Oh another JJ Barea name drop?

So you agree that you're done.

Cool.

Also, I love how a guy that is a fan of a team with Stan Van Gundy as the coach and Otis Smith as GM is laughing at Mike Brown as coach of the Lakers.

A guy that has coached ZERO games in LA.

ZERO.

We know all about the Master of Panic's resume in Orlando though.

So a perfectly normal performance by #Whynotbrook.

SVG has overachieved with what limited pieces he's had, but it doesn't surprise me that Laker fans would cling to the master of panic hegemony since they're the same group that thinks Andrew Bynum isn't a terrible basketball player who also happens to be a piece of shit.

20 pts and 9 assists for a quick pg against the lakers is lackluster.

Also Rondo shuts himself down he doesn't need Kobe to do that.

Kobe guarded two guys with the brokest jumpers at their positions and he deserves more credit than lebron?

The Miami Heat's players are frustrated with Erik Spoelstra and some are questioning whether he is the right coach for their team, according to people close to the situation. With the ballyhooed Heat losing four of their past five games and sporting a mediocre 9-8 record, the players are privately grumbling about Spoelstra on several fronts.

Sources say the players believe he is not letting them be themselves, that they are questioning his offensive strategies, and that they think he is panicking because he fears losing his job.
"He's jumping on them," one source said. "If anything, he's been too tough on them. Everybody knows LeBron is playful and likes to joke around, but Spoelstra told him in front of the whole team that he has to get more serious. The players couldn't believe it. They feel like Spoelstra's not letting them be themselves."

Also all that particular quote is saying is that Spo was trying to put them in a uncomfortable offense and they objected. How does that equate to "they didn't want to work"

iamshadowlark said:
So Miami didn't revert to a stagnant offense that didn't know how to run a proper play and just let Wade and Lebron (when he actually dared touch the ball) dribble around and do fuck-all during the Finals?

Um no. We were still running the same P & Rs and trying to get the same shots that we had been getting all playoffs. Lebron was just scared to take the shots that he normally would.

iamshadowlark said:

Lebron in his prime guarded Rose for half a quarter, Kobe guarded all 3 of those guys pretty much all game in his 14th 15th season. Kobe in his athletic prime would put a straight jacket on Rose all game.

And I remember Rondo completely tearing apart the entire Cavs team that year in the playoffs and having historically amazing triple doubles. Then he comes up against Kobe and all of a sudden disappears and it's a coincidence?

I pointed to 3 of the fastest point guards in the league, three of the most explosive, and Kobe stopped all 3 for at least one or two COMPLETE games all series. Had the Lakers played the bulls in the playoffs, I'm sure Kobe would be guarding and doing much of the same to Rose too.

iamshadowlark said:
How was that his point? We supposedly were static the whole year, as in no change. "At All"

Are you serious? The playoffs are almost nothing like the reg season. You don't just "get hot" and beat two teams that you legitimately struggled against the whole season.

Also this.
Their inconsistency was consistent. Is that really a hard concept?

DY_nasty said:

Apparently it is. Saying that they failed to execute a gameplan, that they didn't bother working on their faults and learn a proper offense is also trolling.

Nevermind that we know for a fact that Spoelstra was being questioned just a month into the season and told to ease off a bit and quit trying to be a hardass. Apparently that's what hard-working teams do: complain about working hard.

DY_nasty said:

Except that they weren't? We consistently loss against BOS and CHI only winning 1 game between the both of them. In the playoffs we consistently beat them losing only a game a piece between them. Is that improvement really hard for you to grasp?

KingJames LeBron James

What an amazing game "Batman Arkham City". Just finished and beat it. Everyone who had a hand in creating it, I wanna say Thank You! #Gamer

He most definitely got paid to make this tweet.

You say improvement, we say getting hot at the right time. Either way, the proof is in the pudding, which is this: it was a sham because it didn't last, so their perceived improvement was temporary.

How is changing a offense "working hard". You have to be comfortable with any offense, and they obviously "worked hard" to get comfortable with a offense that they wanted to run. And I forget how great defense just falls from the fucking sky.

How many times from how many people do you have to hear that it wasn't the teams execution at all? It was Lebron. If he half shows up we win.

The funny thing is that none of this was exclusive to the playoffs. None of it.

Black Mamba said:
Afflalo cannot guard 3s. Pierce, no, although he's good. marion is one of the most overrated defensive players of the past 10 years, so definitely not. Sefalosha has an argument, but I wouldn't agree. I still think it's just Ron, Battier, and TA.

It's cute you think they can make a playoff push.
Afflalo can guard 2's, and thats a "wing position", and he does guard 1's, so he does guard multiple positions.... but if you want to specifically include 3's, then no.

Pierce yes, because he's fundamentally better, he gets guys going into the support defense really well, i mean i can see the argument for no, but he does just as much, by doing it in the team which usually results in more consistent results.

Marion isn't over rated, i'd says he's right about where he should be, he does a number on a lot of players. Though age may take this away from him shortly.

Battier? no. Not after last season. Age has finally caught up to him.2 -3 years ago? yeah i'd have agreed.

Also, Deng had one hell of a year defensively.

Because to claim something to be improved it has to be a constant. Reverting back to bad habits is reversing that improvement. For it to happen merely a week after stellar play cannot be constituted as improving.

Because Chris Bosh sucked, too. His defense was terrible and his shooting was still abysmal and his rebounding still mediocre.

As much as I like to blame Lebron, proclaiming it to be solely his fault is not the right answer and too simple for such a nuanced game as basketball. The whole gameplan sucked, the whole execution was flawed in the Finals.

Winning 2 out of 4 series (lol Philly, that's a BYE) is not a holy grail of improvement.

You know what else is fair to say? Boston regressed after the ASG.
