Dirk was the MVP last season and I wouldn't fault anyone for considering him to be the best player last year as well.

I personally think that he's one of the best playoff performers the league has ever seen.

ahahaha

I hope Vince Carter has some random playoff resurgence next year on the Hawks or something so people can get all revisionist history on him too.

Vince never had a number 2. Never. Dwight was unpolished and not reliable as a second option, vince basically had to create it all for that team. And they got to the ECF.

Yes, Dirk is clearly the best player in the league right now.

1) Dirk
2) Durant
3) Kobe
4) Dwight
5) CP3
6) Rose
7) Wade
8) Deron
9) Rondo (factoring out Perkins breakup depression)
10) Toss-up, probably Blake

Dirk had one bad series. And even against Golden State it wasn't is fault alone. His teammates didn't step up at all.

ItWas thinks Monroe doesn't have a post game? Kid has a lot of skills. The problem I see with him is that he isn't a great run and jump athlete and doesn't have size to cancel out his deficiencies.

He's too stuck on combine numbers still... he'll fill out fne in time. Same with ed Davis. But Detroit has such a bad roster. I don't even know where to begin.

Edit: Rondo can't be top 10 because he's not even the best player on his own team. Not only that, but the second he gets removed from Boston he'll fall off faster than Steve Francis.

(07:43:49pm) (Tony_Parker) yooooooo this knicks/heat game is godlike
(07:44:09pm) (Tony_Parker) Knicks up 1 in the 4th

:(

You missed the ending. I'm sure it'll be on SportsCenter. Bron chucked up a 3 pointer from the half court line. Hit the rim and out. Knicks win by 2.

man i watch stockton play, and the passes he makes look so simple. but very few people can pass like he did. i try to incorporate it into my play, but i just don't have the court vision/bbiq. it's amazing.
He, magic, nash, Kidd are the only really great passing PG's iv'e seen play a fair bit. And considering how many people called themselves PG's in that time span...

There's this guy in LA...hails from OKC...

True, but he's not as fundamental as Tim. I think he can be as good, but it'll take longer.

Rook Duncan was a beast on Day 1, and was for many, many years.

i've only watched basketball religiously for a few years, but it is hard to think of someone else like them...who plays at the 1, anyways.

stockton is overrated by jazz fans and underrated by everyone else imo

The next gen are deron and cp3

After that there is a gap.

Mark Jackson was a very good passer.

Gary Payton too. Not Kidd-Nash levels, but still.

Fun Fact: Andre Miller will probably be top 10 all-time in assists this year.

You have a hard time arguing top 5 at his position.

CP3, Rose and Deron would go ahead of him. I'd say he's on par with Grandpa Nash at this point in their careers. Jokebrook is probably #6.

I'm not digging Origin's treatment of username and e-mail. Hell I can't even link it to my PSN ID because it says someone else is using it.

I know it's in its infancy but come on.

Origin ID: MorisUkunrasik, sent request to those I could find.

I'd rather have Tony Parker than Rondo. rondo's jump shot is such a detriment.

Here's a question for a slow NBA night:

Name your top 5 players that never got a ring) that you would have loved to see get one, just cause you loved their play, drive, heart, etc.

My list is standard fare but here goes:

1) Stockton
2) Miller
3) Mullin
4) Kemp
5) Barkley

6) Ceballos

In terms of a complete team I wish got one, it's 1992 Blazers.

Porter
Drexler
Kersey
Williams
Duckworth

That squad was fire.

Magic, Kidd and Nash would be good places to look.. in fact I would say Kidd is the greatest off handed passer ever..

Ignoring the sheer retardation of this list, it is fucking stupid to try to list the best players in a league that's on strike right now.

Teams I would the the 1995-96 Sonics.. but if I can't have a homer pick then I would say the 92-93 Suns

1994 was all lined up for Ewing...and then Starks gonna Stark.

I'd list Elden, but he was on the roster for that fucktarded 2004 Pistons goon-squad.

How is it retarded? The top 7 are pretty clear; you can argue about the order, but those are the top 7 guys. Deron is top 10 I think. Maybe Rondo and Blake should be dropped for Amare and Carmelo, but whatever. #8-12 in the NBA can be debated all night.
