Yea its too bad he came in fourth in voting that year and if it wasnt nash it would have been lebron

2nd most first place votes.

Never in the history of this planet has an award been so tainted by haters. Kobe Bryant was unfathomably better than the rest of the field in 2006.

he averaged 35 points a game (who does that shit these days???) and got the most garbage ass players i've ever seen into the playoffs. fucking smush parker, kwame brown & chris mihm were starters on that team. its a wonder kobe didnt strangle them. nash shouldve refused the award out of shame.

haha like fucking knicks-age knows anything.

so how bout this nate robinson kid.

hahahahaha no toneeeeyyy is better, fucking cry losers.

Those 48 points Kobe scored during the Lakers’ 99-83 victory were the most since he scored since March 22, 2011 – against the Phoenix Suns. This can’t be a coincidence. Kobe is too cold and calculating for this to be coincidence.

“I don’t like them,” Bryant said of the Suns. “Plain and simple, I do not like them. They used to whip us pretty good and used to let us know about it and I. Will. Not. Forget. That.”

Even though most of the guys from that team are gone?

“I. Don’t. Care,” Bryant said. “I won’t let it go.”

Almost as salty as laker fans themselves.

at least some of the laker fans will shut up about nash going there now.

A few choice quotes after last night's game:

“If I play bad or have one bad game like I did in Denver, everybody cries for a change or cries for the fact that I’m too old (sounds EXACTLY like best-GAF's reaction that night). It’s just a bad game with a bad wrist,” Bryant said, referring to his 16 points in a loss against the Nuggets on New Year’s Day. “You got to figure out a way to get it done.”

“He’s the best player in the game, so you come to expect that type of performance from him, if not regularly, then throughout the season at different times,” Nash said. “He was phenomenal.”

“If he don’t care about his wrist, I don’t care about his wrist,” Frye said. “Everybody makes a big deal about it, but he’s been scoring 28, 30 a game. So let’s just call it what it is. He’s a great player, he’s the best individual player in basketball, and every night he comes to work. For us, we don’t like losing to the Lakers. But they came out and played a good game, and he played an amazing game.”

LeBron can eat a dick

For the last time, nobody took me up on the bet. Even the mod said that.

thekad still thinks Brooks is a better player than Rose so lol

But Lord Bynum? Lakers-age has gone soft if they're putting up with that. Flaccid even.

You still think Bismack is a basketball player.

Also, accept my trade.

Biz is blocking shots at a higher rate than Ibaka in his rookie year - with no training camp or preseason and younger. So I definitely ain't mad.

And fuck no lol

You really think you're getting Kevin Love in any deal that involves Turkoglu? gtfo off the phone

Speaking of Love, I did this trade in my Yahoo league:

I traded:
Love
Josh Smith

for

LMA
CP3

And I'm already regretting it because that Clippers team has no identity. I thought CP3 was a good 'buy-low' candidate but now I'm getting the feeling his numbers could stay around the current shit level for the rest of the year (15pts, 8-9 ast). Smith's also been on fire. Terrible trade that might've crippled my team.

u mad bro? lol

Yes blueprint I'm furious! It's not everyday that a Nate Robinson is available (just everyday for the first two weeks of the season) and we missed out. Nate could be fucking up team chemistry and showing up once a month for the Knicks right now… :(

For the last time, nobody took me up on the bet. Even the mod said that.

I said we don't honor ban bets anymore... If you shrink on a bet thats on your head.. dont bring me into this

Millsap with dat 23 PER, Lakers about to smashed by Mansap.

But really, who could have seen Chris Paul putting up numbers this year that were the same as the ones last year? It's almost like his meniscus didn't regenerate.

Shit that would be more times than the rest of the team shows up...

This is when I say "Do you watch the games?"

Because anyone can see that Chauncey's asshole-ish ways are fucking up the Clippers more than any defense.

Why would ANYONE take you up on a bet that "the Lakers won't get swept"? Even if someone thought the Lakers were the vastly inferior team they still probably wouldn't get swept. You don't bet on a team to get swept unless it's Wizards-bad. For someone to take the opposing side of that bet you would have had to present a vastly reduced punishment for them, which you didn't. So no, you bitched out of a pact that you made with yourself for no reason. It doesn't even bother me that you reneged on the bet so much as the fact that you refuse to acknowledge that it happened.

Toney Douglas wilts harder than Frankman talking to a girl not in anime costume/is over the age of 17. Toney Douglas is a complete pussy when Amare and Melo go cold.

Nate Robinson would carry the team through bad stretches and at the very least have the cojones to take shots.

Your trash talking is not good :(

Let's review the transcripts...

If I'm trolling then Kobe's trolling as well. Nobody thought the Flyers and Red Sox could come back down 3-0 and guess what? Shit happens. I'm done here. I'll take the ban like a man. See you in October.

Hmm...

I'm really not sure the Clips offense is really fucked up in general considering they're third in offense a very limited training camp and few practices to integrate all these guys together.

I just don't see why someone would have expected Chris Paul's numbers to improve significantly this year.

I think a lot of fans expected Chris Paul to play the way he does in crunch time--completely taking over games on offense and to a limited extent on defense--all the time. The reality is that he can't anymore, except maybe in the playoffs. He has to play passively for large portions of the game and defer to guys like Billups because otherwise his knees won't last him the season. Hornets fans complained about this last year, but I'm sure if they had a scapegoat like Billups they would have blamed him too.

masud, I'm thinking we're down 15 within the first five minutes.

heavy, you complain too much. go hangout with tom penny, he has some stuff to help you relax.

Man this place is night and day compared to LockoutGAF.

Being a Pistons/Suns fan, lockout GAF had more to offer. I haven't been this ambivalent about one of my teams since the year of the NHL lockout. I need a bandwagon to latch onto for the next dozen years or so. Oh, I'll still pull for my Pistons/Suns but that doesn't mean I have to torture myself by watching.

Come join Knicks-age. We've tortured ourselves for over sixteen years!

When Randolph was a big reason you had a 20-2 run against the Bulls, you gotta give him some props.
Magic props.

I am happy to see the suns caused so much salt that it is still here after all these years.

It's not the Suns that we're salty about though. There's nothing to hate about the Suns organization before or after the Pringles era. It's what that man stands for, his smug attitude, how he trash talked opponents AFTER his team beat them and how absolutely over-rated he actually is that we're salty about. His attitude carried over to the players under him. Nash was ok for the most part but it's guilty by association.

It looks like the Knicks fans are now suffering for it. That man will never win.
