Michael Redd might make his debut tomorrow against the Cavs.

Not expecting much but lets see what the suns witch doctors did for him.

Right.

Remember that time that Peyton Manning left Indy to go play with the 2nd best player in the NFL?

Oh wait, that never happened.

And you're right, Peyton won that shit. The argument isn't based around what ifs anymore with him.

LeBron needed to run to another cat's team to give himself a chance to win it all.

But hey, when he wins it all one day, you'll see, ryutaro's mama!

YOU'LL SEE!!!

Mhm.

Kicking rocks as usual I see.

Only Hakeem has won a ring with his second best player a clear tier below him. This retarded argument has to end. Someday, lol, it must end.

Needs James photoshopped in.

Btw, I'm with ph33nix on this one. These last two games aren't just meaningless losses IMO. Shit is frustrating as hell and kind of worrisome.

LeBron's fans are just like him.

Rah Rah Rah when they're winning.

Downplay when they lose.

I can't believe how calm they were when they got smashed in 6 last year.

No fucking heart.

No emotion.

At least when we had Prince James we were respectable and put on Kobe v LeBron debates out like Morning Joe. Wasn't on GAF during those times, sadly. Would have been a real hoot. Showdowns with Detroit and Wash.

Wow. Seriously, I dont think I've ever seen the kind of overreactions that NBA GAF puts forward. A few days ago, the Lakers and Clips were fucked, now theyre balling, and the reverse for the heat.

Its. the. motherfucking. regular. season.

Are you saying that things like this don't concern you at all? Carlos Boozer and Joakim Noah's ineptitude this season concerns me greatly, and you don't see me saying "It's just the regular season."

Look at the C's last year. Everyone was like, oh don't worry, it's the regular season they don't give a shit about it. Then they stunk it up in the playoffs. Same can be said about the Lakers last season. They trudged through last regular season, comparatively to seasons before, and everyone thought they'd just turn it on in the playoffs. Didn't happen.

Ok, jordan0386.

Tell me another time in modern times that a top 3 player in the league went to another top 3 player in the league's team to try and win a chip.

Via FA.

I'll wait.

Nobody in our era ever wanted to take a paycut to do so.

Wait, I cant even say that because Tracy begged Tim to come to Orlando.

Just gotta get over the decision. LeBron made it happen where Tracy tried before him. Who cares.

When were Tracy and Tim both top 3 in the at the same point in their careers?

And who was the "Bosh" in that scenario?

I'll wait.

You mean Grant Hill.

McGrady wasn't great when he signed with the Magic.

Here is a list of stuff I'll attribute to "it's just the regular season":
1) Bad, tired defense
2) Random teams/players going off one night and things just aren't going your way/you aren't making shit
3) You don't care and you're fucking around

See the Heat weren't good FT shooters tonight, but they're typically not that great anyways and they usually overcome that so it's whatever. I'm not going to panic TOO much because I truthfully saw the team evolve last season...till we got to the 2nd half of the finals and shit the bed. So I still have hope that the Heat will evolve into a better team by the time the playoffs roll around again and it's always good to get failures out of the way early.

Still, the last two games have been unbearable to watch. It's like the finals happening all over again, seriously, and maybe I am too much into account, but this team has to start building better late game habits now or else we are going to be sorely disappointed again. I don't believe the non-sense of a lack of competition this year; there are a lot of teams who will give us a run for our money in a seven game series.

This feels like when you start dating a really really hot girl and you've been enjoying everything so much but you really wanna bang but she's holding off for a while, and when she finally appears to give in (the heat against boston and chicago last year) she starts stripping and you think it's getting awesome (going up 2-1 on dallas) and then she removes her panties and there's a giant dick and you find out she's a tranny. game over (4-2 dallas wins)

you're traumatized and she decides to say ok i'll get rid of the dick (lebron visiting hakeem) and then things look great but everytime she removes those panties now you see what was once there (the last two games)

The Heat are still the clear favorite to win. Not because they don't have anything to worry about, it's just that every other team in the league has its own concerns, as well.

It doesnt matter. Tim thought about it, then went home. There could have been a big 3 already. Considering how ill Tracy became. YAH.

I don't see how T-Mac's free agency leaving is similar at all to that of LeBron or Bosh...He averaged 15 points a game on horrible efficiency (though he did play good defense) in his contract year. He wasn't a star at all.

Yeah, just yesterday.

And Grant Hill was so durable at that point--definitely Bosh caliber.

Again, when were Tim and Tracy both top 3 respectively, trying to join forces?

You love skirting shit you have no answer to.

Sigh. So Grant leaving DET to possibly play with Tim in ORL means nothing to do.

I answered your question. Players tried to team up. Period.

Let it go. The Decision has passed.

Grant Hill tried to team up with Tim Duncan. Are we not paying attention.

It doesnt who Tracy was before he turned into T-Mac. I answered the question. The 3 players mentioned answer the context of the question.

Oh man; I'm not gonna get into this w/ you since this is the kind of argument that no one wins, but I'm not a believer in that kind of intangible stuff. If the heat had won last year, ie, won 2 more games, your argument would be gone. Its the Peyton Manning argument- everyone said he choked in the playoffs, couldn't win shit, was a regular season MVP only- until OH WAIT HE WON.

Bitch please. Manning is arguably the greatest QB of all time. Lebron isn't even a top 25 player.

You should wash your damn mouth at for suggesting that its anywhere near the same argument.

"Tell me another time in modern times that a top 3 player in the league went to another top 3 player in the league's team to try and win a chip"

neither Tim, Tmac, or Hill were in Orlando prior to potentially teaming up. TMac was not top 3. Tim didn't go. Only 2 could go, anyway.

I don't see how this is an example of answering Mama's question...

If he wanted to take a pay cut, he could have. Duncan that is.

No, it wasn't close to happening. It was 2 of them always.

This might be the greatest metaphor of all time.

I actually argue that Peyton Manning barely qualifies as a non-choker. He played against Rex Grossman in that Super Bowl. There was no way to lose.

Dude, I'm done with trying to discuss shit with you here.

I asked you

Again, when were Tim and Tracy both top 3 respectively, trying to join forces?

And you come with some stupid bullshit of

"Players tried to team up, derp, derp."

Of course players have tried to team up in the past. That was NEVER the debate.

The discussion was

When were two players, both top 3 respectively, trying to join forces?

Just fucking admit you have no answer to my question as asked.

Shhesh.

First paragraph says it all. This is over. Back to the salt, Best GAF.

http://articles.nydailynews.com/201..._mcgrady-and-hill-orlando-magic-nba-landscape

It was the summer of 2000 and the Orlando Magic was quickly turning the NBA landscape upside down. The Magic received a verbal commitment from the top free-agent available, Tim Duncan, while also landing two other prominent free agents, perennial All-Star Grant Hill and a young, rising star in Tracy McGrady, via sign-and-trade agreements.]

Thanks to David Robinson's power of persuasion, Duncan changed his mind and re-signed with the Spurs. He'd lead them to three more titles during the next seven seasons and perhaps even save the team from leaving San Antonio. McGrady and Hill still got to play together, although the comparisons to Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen turned out to be a fantasy.

http://smokingsection.uproxx.com/TS...trio-of-tracy-mcgrady-grant-hill-tim-duncan/2

The reality of the situation is this. David Robinson basically saved the Spurs in San Antonio and altered a decade’s worth of championships by convincing his younger twin tower counterpart to remain in The Lone Star State. Tim Duncan went on to become one of this generation’s finest players and a sure fire future first ballot Hall of Famer. Like noted before, Grant Hill never lived up to his contract due to ankle injury issues. Watching Grant struggle during this time, the guy who was dubbed as the heir apparent to Jordan years earlier, was painful. With all the offensive capabilities in the world, and even the popular debate of who was the better shooting guard between he, Allen Iverson and Kobe Bryant raging on during this era, McGrady never overcame his playoff demons. His 2003 Magic team, who blew a 3-1 series lead to lose 4-3, is always called to mind. But we should also remember Tracy’s starting running mates were Drew Gooden, Andrew Declercq, Gordon Giricek and Jacque Vaughan. I swear I’m not making this up.

Not really, by this time last year, Boston was the favorite in the East.

Well, when the Heat made the Finals or even earlier, many were crowning them but that's why you don't play the games on paper.

The Heat will be tough but they're the same team(many teams seem to get marginally better with additions in free agency).

All this "they're on a mission", "they're at peace", etc... bullshit won't help LeBron hit game winners and all that.
