So I've been waiting a while to say this. How come Mavs-Gaf/Best-Gaf didn't make a bigger deal out of dirk coming into this season COMPLETELY out of game shape and making statements like after he won he was unmotivated for the first time and didn't touch a ball for 2 months.


That's a pretty beta thing to do. Your the teams alpha dog, come into to training camp more honed in and in better shape so the rest of the team takes after you and you begin your title defense


I could never imagine Bird or Kobe or Jordan doing shit like that

The fact that Amare and Melo haven't developing any sort of complementary playstyle with one another is mind boggling. If the players don't realize it themselves, then one would hope that the coach would and do all he could to maximize his stars.

D'antoni is either in way over his head or an idiot. But probably both.

They better hope the Giants win on Sunday. They're not getting that much ire from the public/press at the moment.

The press should be the least of their worries. D'antoni, barring a miracle, is a lame duck coach most likely on his way out this year and the team is back in cap hell with no choice but to make what they have with a Melo/Chandler/Stat core work.

He had guys doing the dirty work for so long he forgot how to do anything but chuck, and he doesn't seem to want to learn. Amare has always been half of a great player, absolutely no fucks given unless he has teh ball or has a chance to get the ball, rebounding? There's no glamour in that, Defense? That's for role players.

They have holes in their rosters and in their star players. Its funny how they spent so much and dealed so hard for a team that is marginally better than their garbage days.
