How can the Knicks and Celtics be this bad? The Atlantic Division is in shambles, the Sixers are about 10 wins away from locking up the division, and the only things changing in the immediate future are the returns of Brook Lopez, Baron Davis, Rajon Rondo, and Andrea Bargnani.
The Knicks have the talent, they just need someone who can push them in the right direction.

Melo destroyed Amar'e

Father Time destroyed KG.

Overeating and the lockout destroyed Pierce.

Rondo wasn't that good in the first place.

76ers have been a really good surprise team though. I really underrated them before the season...

You crazy. RR9's vastly improved scoring ability been one of the few bright spots of this season for the Celtics.

So, some Bulls fans on RealGM are saying that Boozer should get an All Star spot over Amar'e. Now, I thought that was ridiculous, but I looked at the stats. Holy crap, I had no idea Amar'e was playing so bad and inconsistent this year. His FG% is way down to a 40%, and he still plays no defense (duh), with a PER of 15.88, compared to Boozer's 19.71.

You know, if Boozer can continue his improvement, now that Rip is back, I think I might actually support him getting a spot over Amar'e.

Looking for a higher quality one.

ART THOU NOT ENTERTAINED

oh and these last two games made me depressed

good thing we got the...pacers next? wtf

Are we popping bottles now over wins against Wizards, Hornets, Kings, Pistons, and Clippers?

You left out the Bobcats, reilo. We are the closest thing the Lakers will get to a ring this year after all.
melo is the best thing to happen to knicks . they need a pg like nash and then they will be fine.

They just need a MVP point guard, that's all!

Gomes and Foye started tonight? An offensively limited center with amazing athletic ability and a great smile? A 20-10 athletic power-forward that plays no defense? An undersized over-the-hill chucker at the two-guard who takes terrible shots? A bad coach that will be fired within 5 months?

It's like the Wolves were playing themselves from two years ago.

Pop bottles, bitches.

Oh it was a fun game, dont be so analytical.

Ditto on the coach tho.

Quote from anthony:
“Me personally, I have nothing to prove in the game,” Anthony added. “I spent 71/2 years in Denver. I did a lot in Denver. I have nothing to prove. I just want to win the basketball game.”

What an ignorant thing to say. It's like kobe without the rings.

Dude who has proven nothing has nothing to prove?

Interesting.

Nice side stepping. Obviously they will go back to over .500 eventually.

I get it.

Syphon Filter is running a day-by-day simulation of NBA 2K12 before they did the roster updates. In his world, the Knicks are winning!

Yeah...and it'll be the same story again as it was in Phoenix. All offense and no defense. But then again not like anything is different with the Knicks given the current players and staff.

Its so simple man, they just need Perennial All-Stars at all starting spots. Why has no one thought of this before?

So that's why Miami didn't win last season! They were two spots shy. Oh you clever devil, you!

same exact thing was said last year and they still ended up over .500.

Anytime you can spend hundreds of millions of dollars and 40 draft picks to maybe be over 500 in two months you have to do it.

Geez Knicks fans, this is depressing. At least leave some of the jokes to me. Don't mess with the balance of the universe.

Knicks after the Melo trade were 14-13 regular season, 28-27 prior to Melo.

They actually had room to grow prior to the Melo trade. I won't pretend like it was clear cut, I was in favor of NY getting Melo, in hindsight they should have flipped their players into something more well rounded than just Melo.

They probably coulda landed Deron Williams for much less.

yea but they had went through two different teams so they needed to gel.

Knicks are 20-21 in their first 41 regular season games together after the Melo/Billups trade.

Celtics went 34-7 their first 41 regular season games together after the KG/RAYRAY trades.

Lakers went 35-6 their first 41 regular season games together after the Gasol trade.

Knicks sold their future for an average team that has the second round of the playoffs as their ceiling. And realistically probably won't make it past the first round for years.

Yeah, and that's what I was saying back when we shipped Deron to New Jersey. I was dumbfounded that the Knicks didn't jump at D-Will first. In fact, the day of the trade, I firmly stated that the Knicks gave up too much for a talented scorer who can't win in the long wrong. People hammered my nuts for it, but here we are.

Even Melo thinks it was a bad trade for the Knicks.

I win.

Only Gallo and Mozgov are still on the team. Chandler is in China and when he comes back he's immediately a RFA. The Nuggets are planning to give Gallo an extension, so I don't see them matching any offer that Chandler receives.

Scariest part about the recent losses for NY is that their record last year that saw them boasting about KNICKS BACK etc, was against a similarly very weak schedule. They really have played a bunch of crap teams and come up short so far.

Yes, including the suns.
