In that they fly under the radar even though putting up incredible stats.

Eh, Love has a lot of exposure thanks to technology. People went apeshit over his 30/30 game last season and his double-double streak. I don't remember Duncan, as the clear ROY, having the same exposure as Love did last season (before that, he didn't play enough).

I think someone like Marc Gasol or Millsap is way more underrated than Love, though Love is better.

And with Duncan, he wasn't underrated as much as he was under-appreciated. Like, everyone knew he was a top 5 player pretty much from year 2, just nobody cared to watch him play since he had no flash. People like watching Love because he shoots 3s and has crazy rebounding games.

It's kind of hard to be as good as Love is and be underrated in this time.

Also, Love isn't the defender/passer Duncan was, so there's that too.

He's been huge for a while. I'm just happy to see him get more comfortable on the offensive end.

Just those saving tip-ins help this team so much(doesn't hurt that Derrick even when he misses at the rim attracts all the attention).

Noah's offense will always be a bonus to me elsewhere, sometimes he's really good with the mini-hookshot(often lefthanded) and sometimes it's well off but he needs to keep at it.

Boozer was hitting jumpers and played fine tonight(terrible defense at times as usual) but while they both grab a ton of boards, Noah's so good at getting the tough ones in the form of offensive rebounds rather than just defensive ones.

I don't think the Bulls played badly but I don't think they were that great despite Rose dominating.

Deng once again, does nothing all game and hits the big three when it counts.

Apparently, Kate is related to Aubrey Mcclendon head honcho of Chesapeake Energy.

Fun fact: Shooting at the basket where Upton sat under, both teams combined to go just 39 percent from the floor. On the other end? 49.4 percent. Also, the Suns went 9-12 in the first half from the free throw line, while at the Upton end, they missed six. Including a rare one from Steve Nash.

"The Boobies Effect"

Deng is where I'm most concerned. His shot is so damn inconsistent now thanks to the wrist. I will say this about Boozer's defense. You can tell he's trying. It may not be all that effective, but God bless him, he's trying.

I think I said that by his second year he would be top 5 at the center position and at this point he might be there already. He's the most offensively skilled young center in the league. He's doing his damage without a reliable point guard to feed him the ball. He had a coach that sold him down the river and gets zero love from the refs. Still, he has improved from his first year. Gets into less foul trouble, has improved his defense (while still needing a ton of improvement there) and he is one of the most noticeable difference makers amongst big men.

I think his game would be even better on a less selfish team. He has good passing skills and vision for a big man, but with Reke and Thornton out there, every King is afraid of never seeing another shot again. Cousins has become a blackhole in the paint when he was a willing passer early in his rookie campaign. He needs to learn how to pumpfake and needs a go-to move. He just flings the ball at the basket because he's so good at getting the offensive board, but its an unreliable method that kills his FG%.

Pretty much covers it.

The only thing I would add is he needs to stop trying to face up and cross over the versatile big men of the league. 99.9% time it just ends up in a turnover that leads to a fast break, a horrible shot attempt, or an offensive foul.

That and I wish he would use his length and strength more instead of trying to draw charges. He has gotten better at it, but guys of his size should NOT be trying draw charges at every conceivable opportunity or arguably NOT EVER.

I'm happy to see more glimpses of him using his strength on offense now when establishing position and finishing strong at the basket. But yeah, still too many of those ridiculous shots where he literally just heaves the ball at the basket like the refs are gonna reward him half a point if he at least hits the rim.

He's better than last year but Boozer needs to use that big body and at least step in front of players instead of letting them get around him.

He's doing a good job at getting steals or his hands in the passing lanes though.

I'm not one that thinks Deng's wrist is why he's struggling but could be. At least he's hitting timely shots.

Seeing him inconsistent and not making a regular impact in games is very odd to me despite them still winning.

Holy shit, I just got back from a night out.

Lakers get destroyed in the 2nd half by the Wizards. Clippers get Farmar-daggered.

WTF is next, dogs and cats living together?

Stepping in front of players risks injury. Let Boozer save that for the playoffs. I want to give Deng the benefit of the doubt, so I'll just say it's his wrist.

I cannot believe we gave up that offensive rebound to the Wizards after they went up 3.

Literally all Metta had to do was jump for that rebound. Instead he stood there like a flat-footed half-wit and let the Wizards make it a two possession game.

Then when we lost the ball out of bounds after the Wizards free throw miss, I almost threw my beer bottle into a wall. I probably should have. Good thing I wasn't at the game, or I'd be up on murder charges right now.

+1. A trade needs to happen. Not buying into false hope like last year.

you're a lakers fan?

Puddles, the 2nd worst offensive team ran loops around them. bottom 5 or so rebounding team destroyed them on the boards.

I was fuming for at least an hour. Haven't been so upset about a loss in a long time.

The Farmar dagger was probably the most hilarious thing I've seen this year though. That and Mr. Kardashian (the other one, not Lamar) making big plays down the stretch.

It's obvious Kobe's done. Now the question is what can the Lakers get for him.
Even if they could trade him no one would take that contract.

He's still got some left in the tank though that's for sure. Mike Brown just needs to tell him to stop jacking up so many shots and feed his dominant bigs

haha, even Phil couldn't convince him of this until playoff time, usually.

They need a serviceable PG to replace Fish. It's that simple.

That's not going to happen. You're naive if you think he's going to stop shooting. He's going to shoot them right out of the playoffs too.

Those dominant bigs couldn't get one fucking rebound at the end of the game. Fucking Bynum and Metta knocking the ball out of bounds after a missed FT. That was some pre-divine intervention Angels in the Outfield ineptitude.

Nah. Kobe always changes his game up for the playoffs. He might shoot as much, but he doesn't take as many stupid shots. They will lose because Fish/MWP can't score, though.

Kobe historically is meh vs. crappy teams. I used to track this, but many season his stats vs shitty teams were well below his average and he would take a ton more long 2s and 3s. He saves his legs for good teams, always has.

Problem is, he doesn't substitute the shots. He just takes shitty ones rather than get everyone else better looks cuz he still has to have his points. Kobe almost always plays better versus good teams than shitty ones (it may not always reflect in stats, but in decision making it will).

Lakers are 14-9 vs .500+, 9-7 vs below .500

Only team in the league better against winning teams than losing. LOL.

6 road wins include Boston, Dallas, Utah, Minnesota, Toronto, and Denver. But lose to Wash, sacramento, NYK, Milwaukee, Detroit.

ON THE WHITE BOARD of any team.

"Coach said trap and double him at all times and keep a body on the bigs, the other ones can't beat you. Don't worry about them making plays, just do that and we will win"

If lakers get to the playoffs like this.

I would do that too if i ended up being a spectator in the kobe show.
