The real White Mamba.

durant literally has more help than lebron this year

wade is playing gimp and bosh has been out with injury too

meanwhile durant is getting styled on by bestbrook and james harden

i know as a laker fan you have a proclivity to think 10 - 27 are mvp numbers but stop hatin already

lebron clear and only mvp imo

This is some bizzaro type statement. Not saying it ain't right or wrong, but bizzare just the same.

David Kahn will be back next season to continue rebuilding the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Kahn, 50, is in the third year of a three-year contract as president of basketball operations. But the deal includes two more years at the team's option, and owner Glen Taylor said Wednesday night he wants Kahn back.

"I like David; I'm happy with him," Taylor said.

Oh no.

Rose was out for weeks and Chicago didn't miss a beat. He can't be MVP, especially since so many people have turned sour on his MVP last year.

Love's efficiency isn't especially high. Especially for someone who makes so many threes and free throws. KG's TS% last year was better than Love's is this year.

Note that I said high volume

Rodeo I agree. Its not even close between the two

Maybe I should rephrase and say I think hes a better scorer

A part of me thinks the players are trying to find a scapegoat to how shitty they are playing by asking for the triangle back. It reminds me of 04 when the Pistons were running our asses out of the gym in the Finals and the players got together and lobbied for Phil to put Rick Fox in the starting lineup at PF, to let the "original championship core" have a shot at turning things around. It wouldn't have made a difference. Switching to the triangle would probably help hide how shitty the PG situation is, but it won't make the bench suck any less cock.

Bench blows, no real pg. Triangle will help a bit itl keep Pau from floating around everywhere. Love the lakers but their time is up.

At this point I'm starting to come to terms with the fact that we will just get progressively worse and worse over the next 3 years of the Pau/Kobe era. Don't make any major trades. Let their $50 million in salary expire and sign a major Free agent (Kevin Love?) then. Resigning Bynum to a huge, long-term deal would fuck all that up.

Melo should've won the MVP last year and he should win this year too. Without him Denver wouldn't have a chance in hell to sniff the playoffs.

k i think we are about to our limit of regular season game winning shot pictures.

No Mo Games vs teams with .500+ records.

Josh Smith has told the Hawks he wants to be traded ahead of the March 15 deadline, sources tell the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Smith has previously complained about getting singled out for criticism by the coaches and media. Now he reportedly "believes he needs a fresh start with a franchise where he can better reach his potential on and off the court." Smith is also upset that the Hawks didn't do enough to promote him for the All-Star team and wants to play for a team more committed to winning for a championship. The Hawks will never be able to get equal value for Smith, who is 26 and under contract through the 2012-13 season. It's hard to see a deal getting done here.

Of course, he said the same thing last year.

CBS Sports said:
The Trail Blazers have been among the most active teams, seeking to move Jamal Crawford and acquire a big man -- either in the same or separate deals. The asking price for Crawford, however, includes a first-round pick in addition to Luke Ridnour (Timberwolves) or Eric Bledsoe (Clippers).

lol Portland

And apparently there's a Michael Beasley sweepstakes of sorts.
It's no secret that Minnesota is likely to trade Michael Beasley, with the most interested potential suitors being the Boston, the Lakers and Orlando. The Magic are pursuing multiple avenues in an attempt to improve the team in the hopes that a long playoff run could persuade Howard to stay. If Orlando holds off on trading Howard at the deadline, sources say Beasley could be a viable piece for the Nets to add as they try to upgrade their talent to make the team more attractive to Howard and Deron Williams.

This is the part where someone explains to you that shooting 1-2% more on a third of amount of shots does not mean you are the better shooter.

true. but there is value in a guy recognizing he doesn't shoot well shooting a third of the shots as someone shooting only 1-2% better.

Nevermind, I've had a change of heart. Ridnour alone is too much for a Crawford rental, much less throwing in a pick, too. Luke's a better shooter, defender, distributor, and has a lower usage rate.
Add in the chemistry factor. Only thing Crawford has on Rid is height.

On that note, JJ's ankle sprain was the first time I've been happy for one of my own team's players getting injured. No Luke trade is happening now.

Lakers are 14-9 vs .500+, 9-7 vs below .500

Only team in the league better against winning teams than losing. LOL.

6 road wins include Boston, Dallas, Utah, Minnesota, Toronto, and Denver. But lose to Wash, sacramento, NYK, Milwaukee, Detroit.

Who should we blame for this? The players or the coaches for being unprepared?

And Malcolm Lee is getting called up, too. Hype.

At this point, I'd just trade Beasley and roll with this roster. The shooting guard situation sucks, but I'd rather buy a late first than give up assets for a rental.

Agreed. Weird how things have come together with this team.

Probably all comes down to Adelman.

It's not the coaches, imo. It's the players. They've had big road leads and blow them because either Kobe goes into stat padding mode or the team just eases up. The team would do this with Phil too, but their overall talent would overcome when needed. But they don't have that since Fish/MWP suck hard and Odom is gone.

That said, on the road, Fish/MWP have been especially horrible. And MWP only seems to play well when he has something to do, ie guard Pierce/Lebron etc. When he goes up against a crap SF, he plays like crap.

Classic Bayless. Skip knows how his shtick works: say outlandish things/talk trash on good players and then watch first and 10/ESPN profit.
