Classic Bayless. Skip knows how his shtick works: say outlandish things/talk trash on good players and then watch first and 10/ESPN profit.

It's like ClovingSteam and Co. going over to the Gaming side to stir up trouble by claiming that Apple is going to threaten consoles/handhelds.

Problem with the Lakers isn't the triangle...it's just that there are way too many guys standing around.

Having a PG would be nice but unless they get a great PNR PG (there are like 3 of them in the league) they won't really improve.

I think they should go after Nick Young. He dedicates himself to moving off the ball, is a great shooter and could help space the floor unlike World Peace. He's also a local boy and would probably extend on the cheap.

and the only player in nba history to score 3000 points before 300 assists.

You say the Lakers stand around too much and then ask to add a player who will cause more standing around than anyone else in the league.

Triangle also, to a certain degree, addresses the problem of player just standing around.

At any given moment you'd have 3 players who are active in the offense. Pau would also be more potent.

This is the part where someone explains to you that shooting 1-2% more on a third of amount of shots does not mean you are the better shooter.

This. And if you actually watched a game you'd know that Crawful has single handily kept us in games. I would love to get Bledsoe and a first for him. Although i think he should just come off the bench and we'll try to see if Felton can pull together.

Honestly i've got a bit of abusive spouse syndrome right now. I know Felton has sucked but he scored 19 last night! He can change! Yeah he still can't shoot a 3, but baby steps right? Only two turnovers? He's making progress guys, maybe he can do this!

Damn, I had an epic meltdown post ready to submit last night but my internet went out right as I hit submit. Thanks internet!

Seriously though the Lakers desperately need one more scorer on the team. That way Kobe puts less of a burden on himself. He pretty much chucked us out of the game yesterday... and the game before that.

League source: Reported Blazers / Pacers talks for Jamal Crawford are "legitimate." Portland asking for 2012 first & A.J. Price.

Ben Golliver
Pacers balking at including pick. "The first team to give Portland a first round pick for Crawford will have him," source said.

.

He's going to opt out and become a free agent in July. No way they get a pick and player for him, though. Nobody is paying that kind of price for a rental.

You never know. The Warriors draft pick that's top 7 protected this year was traded for Marcus Williams.

I could see Atlanta getting him back. Maybe for Marvin.

My favorite. I was just amazed that a tiny town in Canada carried a magazine like this. HOCKEYHOCKEYHOCKEYCURLINGHOCKEYHOCKEY

Indiana's pick won't be that high right? It'll probably past #15 or so? God Blazers go after Bledsoe or someone else frigging a.j price? We need to trade some pieces but don't whore your players out like 40 year old hookers

Portland should blow it up. They might not even make the playoffs. They're not good enough to go far IMO. It's a flawed team.

They have 2 guys to build around in LMA and Batum whom I wouldn't think about trading.

After that? Everyone should be available. Felton has sucked, Crawford too. Both will be UFAs after the season. Camby as well and he's old. Send him to a contender.

Wes Matthews is someone I'd try to keep but would be willing to move for the right deal. Wallace has to go though. He's someone that could potentially bring something back. They need a PG and a C really, going forward. Not sure who they should target, though.

Crawford and Felton for Bledsoe and a first. Who says no?

Salary cap rules.

Crawford has played better in the past month, Wesley has been up and down but he's salvageable (and relatively cheap).

But yeah, Aldridge and Batum are clearly the keepers.

Portland has a lot of tradable assets:

Wallace has 1 year left with an opt-out for this summer. Ditto for Crawford. Camby's expiring ($9mil), as is Felton ($7.5mil), Craig Smith, Kurt Thomas, and Oden.

Portland has about $40mil in committed salaries this off-season and Batum is a RFA. Which means they can sign a marquee free agent and match Batum's offer.

Come to Portland Deron.

I wonder if Wallace will exercise his player option? He'd lose $11million but he could get a decent deal this summer since a lot of teams will have room.

What could he get? Caron Butler numbers? 3 years, $24mil? At best?

I could see some team (Nets) giving him 4/$32-35mill as a panic move when they miss out on a big name. It's a bit of a lottery though.

While everyone fixates on Melo: Baron Davis is shooting .237 from field, .150 on 3-pointers. JR Smith, .384 from field, .270 on 3-pointers.

Yeah no one saw this coming.

How does the salary cap stop that trade?

What championship market does Josh thinks he will go to that won't criticize and get on him about those stupid, mostly ill-fated jumpers and the turnovers he cause on fast breaks?

Oh, that high, now? NBA trade machine needs to update.

Well, depends if you're a tax-paying team or not:

2011 CBA: Taxpaying teams can acquire no more than 125 percent plus $100,000 of the salaries they trade away (same as 2005 CBA). Non-taxpaying teams (based on their post-trade salary level) can acquire up to the lesser of 150 percent plus $100,000, or 100 percent plus $5 million of the salaries they trade away. The cash a team pays or receives in trade is limited to $3 million annually.

There is no single way, i go to Portland as a player. I would literally be terrified of a knee injury. That may sound harsh, or BS, or what ever. But... good lord, just No. Unless i was on my last contract and didn't give a Fuck anymore.

Also, Wes Matthews is obviously a guy who needs a good PG to feed him. Thats the big difference failing for him atm. My understanding of him in the past is that he's a great catch and shoot guy. Not necessarily a create his own shot guy.

Potential Clippers deal.

bledsoe, first, mo for crawford, matthews.

Put a legit SG on the team.

Concur. Crawford just isn't a starter in my eye's, and if the blazers are that desperate to dump him, then i don't offer the first. Maybe a second rounder. He's not so valuable as to give up a first. Even a late first.

Wallace isn't opting out. This will be his last big contract. Then he can choose to take 8/year from a middling team, or 5 to play for a contender.

In a perfect world we could get Bledsoe and a 1st and then trade up to hopefully get Sullinger. I'm willing to trade everybody except LMA, Batum, Mathews, Williams, and Nolan Smith. We just need to get some good pieces back and then just be consistent with the lineup. It seems like every other game were changing people around.
