Quick random question: Why is it that Isiah is remembered not for his basketball career but rather for his FO shenanigans while Jeffrey gets a continual pass for failing in his FO duties and now in ownership?

I find this dynamic so amusing.

When you're the greatest basketball player of all time you'll be remembered more for that. People knew Isiah was a great point guard but he's never considered in the top discussion for even the greatest point guard, so his basketball days aren't as easy to think of first.

Because New York Knicks.

It would be the equivalent of Magic coming in and fucking up the Lakers.

Seriously, folks.

Most obvious answer ever.

And it's not like anyone expects dick out of the Wizards.

Yeah, but the mainstream press hardly even considers critiquing Jazzy Jeff on what he has done with his team.

The press destroyed Isiah.

Uh...

Like usual, the Magic supporting cast will either be shooting lights out from 3 and destroy the bulls or get shut down and Howard bails for Dallas.

Or...the Magic shoot lights out in the first half, it looks like a blowout and then in the second half, Bulls realize they have a game to win and lock them up.

He's had a longer tenure and investment with Charlotte than he did with the Wizards.

I think you forget how exactly terrible a situation they were in.

The entire organisation was toxic.

They realistically have a 5 - 6 year rebuilding program to get back to winning ball.

Being in NY did help destroy Isiah but he also had a sexual assault charge while on the job

Everyone knows what Jordan's done but he hasn't sexually harassed another employee...yet.

His drafting seems so random tho.

It doesn't feel like he's laying the foundation for the future with these picks.

With, say Seattle/OKC, Durant was the first solid piece and then they drafted around him.

Biyombo?

Kemba?

Gerald Hendo?

Maybe I'm missing something here...

This is disgusting. Blow it up. What a joke team.

Oh. We're winning. Crushing the Bulls even. Meh whatever, they'll blow it soon enough.

How many top 3 picks have we had?

...

...

And are we less fucked long-term now than we were just a year ago?

...

Are the Knicks still fucked?

Yall are forgetting Zeke's sexual harassment trial and all the shit he said about white people.

"A white man calling a black woman 'bitch,' that is wrong with me. I'm not accepting that. That's a problem for me," Thomas said in a videotaped deposition shown during a trial brought against the team by a former marketing executive who claims she was harassed by Thomas and wrongfully terminated.

But when asked if it was wrong for a black man to call black women bitches, Thomas said "not as much" and "I'm sorry to say, I do make a distinction."

She also said Thomas rebuffed her March 2004 request that he sign renewal-request letters sent out to past season ticket holders with a pointed shot at loyal Knick fans.

"Bitch, I don't give a f--k about these white people," Browne Sanders said Thomas told her

Yeah that shit doesn't fly in mainstream America. That's the reason for a lot of the hate,

Durant was a bonafide star. It was like drafting Blake. And oden if he could ever stay healthy. Or Duncan. They were going to be All stars. I don't think there are many players the cats have passed on drafting, that you would say that about. They have drafted ok, given their spot. But they're looking desperately for that 1A Option that they can then focus their build around.

None of the guys you listed are terrible, and with XP, could all be quite good players on good teams. But none of them are first options on a play off team.

It's not like they had the number 1 pick and got Bargnanni.

I don't know why this keeps surprising me, but damn I forgot how much smaller our older threads are

I hope Neogaf never does a purge cause these threads need to be preserved for all of history.
