Magic executives have continued to tell teams this week they do not intend to trade Dwight Howard, but several teams came away from the conversations with a clear picture of what the club wants if it changes course: a replica of the deal Denver pulled off last February for Carmelo Anthony, multiple league sources told CBSSports.com Thursday.

...

Could the Warriors possibly give up Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Ekpe Udoh, etc., under those circumstances? The Magic hope so, which is why the Howard saga quietly escalated to the next phase Thursday: Orlando’s attempt to follow the Denver model by creating a bidding war and scoring a Melo-like haul of assets.

Anyone but Klay :(

Do it, for gods sake DO IT

haha I took it, even though Amar'e hasn't been playing well he still was above average for guys I could play as a center. I have two center spots to play and the rest of my eligible guys are Bass, Dalembert, D. Jordan and Camby (it's a pretty deep league). So he still had the most point production out of that spot and his rebounding was alright...plus I'm still a little worried about Smith post-trade demand but fuck it the rest of my team is playing pretty well right now so I don't think it could make me any worse.

When Syphon Filter is praying for Steve Nash you know it's time to move Lin; Linsanity is dead.

Because people were delusional to think that NBA teams wouldn't adjust to Lin. He's a 23 year old kid that is basically playing in his first real season. Shit, I would say he over achieved in his first games. He's gonna be solid in the right systems (D'Antoni's).

Have some perspective.

I think his lack of athleticism also brings him back to reality.

He doesn't seem particularly fast at all nor that strong.

He has no "escape plan" when the shit hits the fan.

He's plenty strong... he just can't adjust to the NBA as fast as the NBA can adjust to him. He'll be a decent point guard if Melo and Pringles haven't already ruined him.

What about his speed though???

He seems to methodically trot into the lane giving the giants plenty of time to do their thing.

He seems crafty enough but can he be successful at taking the ball to the paint several times a game or should he limit that a great amount???

I wont. Getting rid of Ellis/Lee/Biedrins deals? Priceless. Better than thinking Curry/Ellis/Lee is going to win you anything.

However if they get rid of Klay and Udoh then I will cry.

Nobody said the Magic were taking back David Lee. Not even Otis is that stupid.

Too bad they all play in Denver now.

Gotdamn

If the playoffs started tomorrow, we'd get some really fucking awesome series.

Too bad it doesn't look like there's any way for the Lakers to get homecourt in the first round and then the Clippers in the second.

Speed is really overrated.

He can get past that first defender most of the time... its just that after that, his decision making has been... 'questionable'. It always has been. It worked before because he could dictate the entire floor with Melo and Amare Houston not fucking up things, but that is gone for good.

He should be coming off the bench. But Knicks don't have the balls to make that decision. They like hype too much.

Yeah he'll be fine in the long run if Pringles can think things through

I didn't watch the last Knicks game, but didn't Lin have 20 points on nearly 50% shooting with 4 assists against 1 TO?

Seems like he's still pretty solid. They lost because they gave up nearly 120 points to the Spurs.

The Carmelo deal kinda ruined the league. The Knicks gave up WAY too much, and now GMs think their superstar is worth half a starting roster. Yes, literally two and a half good players.

Hey Poo, according to KC Johnson, Deng says he may need to rest a few games, cause of his wrist. It looks like it is his wrist.
