Whew Rise didn't win best story. Not sure about Lara Croft winning the character award, but eh she has great moments in the game and a improvement from 2013.

Watching people react to a show like DICE is infinitely more entertaining than the show itself. Getting the industry's opinion is fascinating, and seeing people call the devs who make these games idiots for the winners they pick is hilarious.

This host is laughably bad, though.

3 for Ori, 2? For The Witcher III, 2 for Star Wars, 2 for Rocket League, 1 for Fallout 4, 1 for Mario Maker, 1 for Rise of the Tomb Raider, 1 for Mortal Kombat X, 1 for Helldivers, 1 for Forza 6, 1 for Heroes of the Storm, 1 for Fallout Shelters.

Congrats I suppose:

Just feel a bit glad that Rise of the Tomb Raider didn't win alot of the awards it was in. It a good game, but feels disappointing in ways, and in turn overrated with some of the high praise.:/

Ok, just caught up on Youtube... while Fallout 4 was a really great game, it just doesn't stand up to The Witcher 3 imo. Strange choices. Or was it? Most of the winners did have talks at DICE. *adjusts tinfoil hat*. Happy for Kojima and embarrassed for Konami. What must've been going through his mind when MGSV won and no one turned up to accept. Kiki Wolfkill's face and reaction said it all. Pretty shit awards tbh.

So what these people in the industry are telling me, that out of all the games that came out last year, Fallout 4 was the best and most well directed?

What?

That is what they're telling you. And given that they are people in the industry—a lot of very experienced people in the industry—I think it's worth engaging with what they have to say in a more critical way.

This isn't me calling you out specifically. I definitely don't mean it like that. But in the interest of being informed, thoughtful consumers of the medium, we should probably respond to awards like this differently than "bullshit" and "_______ got robbed."

DICE certainly has its issues, but the people voting on these awards aren't idiots.
