Cowboys struggle in new fan loyalty index

A new survey from research and marketing firm Brand Keys supports the notion that Jones’ team is no longer this country's.
According Brand Keys’ newly released “Sports Fan Loyalty Index,” which has been published annually for the past 24 years, the Cowboys rank No. 27 among 32 NFL teams in fan devotion to their brand.
To gather data for the survey, the firm polled 150 to 200 “diehard” fans in each NFL market.
The Index measures four factors: history and tradition (30%); fan bonding (29%); pure entertainment (21%), which is more concerned with how a team plays, rather than how often it wins; and authenticity, which gauges how confident a fan base is that its team will achieve sustained success.

PUH-LEASE. Patriots fans aren't even the most loyal fans in Boston let alone the entire NFL.

Yeah I was kinda confused.

Boston is a baseball town first and foremost. I don't recall there being diehard Pats fans everywhere when Bledsoe went to the Super Bowl either.

1 game in and I'm already ready to get a new owner, GM, coach, and QB.

Tis the eternal life of an Atlanta Falcon's fan.

By "down the field", I meant more than 15 yards

I hear ya, and truth, get Dez the fucking ball, let the man do his thing.

Dez Bryant hasn't been shit in over half a season's worth of play since last year. 3rd or 4 WR production if that.

Dez was not even healthy, could not test his foot full strength and was timid to try, he still proved what a monster he is in the redzone on one good foot, that TD catch against the eagles was a catch only a couple men in the league could make.

If you have watched his confidence in training camp this year, he is ready to go full out, I expect him to have his best year

Browns can't even catch a break in fan loyalty. Also :jnc at the pats being number 1 get back to me when you watch 20 years of shit football.

8 yards

The Rams need a re-branding, not in a name change, but something to re-identify them with LA.

A uniform change is definitely needed. Their current uniforms just scream St. Louis.

Strong is just the odd man out. Nuk and Fuller on the outside with Braxton in the slot. Strong can play all 3 spots though.

Strong's game is very similar to Hopkins but he will get his touches as the season rolls on.

I'm not sure strong will ever put it together

iOS 10 is straight up fucking garbage.

I would advice against updating and then just switch to android. I've had an iPhone since day 1 and they are losing me more and more.

Mine's workin great

and turn off your keyboard sounds you heathen

Cowboys sign ex jag Ryan Davis DE, one year deal. Any info on this guy jagsgaf? Per nfl stats 4 year vet 11 sacks. I'll take all the help we can get with our miserable pass rush.

He was probably the Jaguars best situational pass rusher a couple of years ago. He could be a really good pickup.

They should go back to the yellow-blue or white-blue. Not because of the St Louis connection, but because the gold was always (and will always be) a shitty 49ers imitation.

Dez hasn't really looked anything special since coming back from his injury. Week 1 against the Giants he looked like Andre Johnson last year with the Colts. I wouldn't put him top 5 receiver right now.

Antonio Brown
Julio Jones
AJ Green
Odell Beckham Jr
Deandre Hopkins

Brown is the best, and I'd say the following 4 are all bunched up there's no clear order of who's best.

I'm sure he'll have 1300 yards and 15+ TD's with Prescott. There is great evidence this is going to happen.

There is great evidence you are being ignorant. Dallas moved pretty well offensively Sunday, Dez will get his scoring opportunities, you do not have to be so arrogant in your assumption that he will add nothing to the offense at all this year based on last year with Matt Cassel. Knowing how much he has put in to this off season I would not count him out.

You're right, sorry.

8*16=128 yards, 0 TD's solid year.

hes on my money fantasy league team so I hope you're right

Oh I see why you are pissed, you counted on the unpredictability of fantasy football and got burnt for the week.

Dude he's been crap since the non catch against Green Bay. He's not old and he has a ton of talent so of course you're optimistic that he'll be productive again. But he hasn't been in awhile and he sure as hell isnt a top 5 WR at the moment.

He had weeden and cassel throwing to him last season. It's week fucking one and now he has a fourth round rookie throwing to him. People need to calm their asses down. He probably won't have a huge year again unless Dak really makes leaps and bounds in his development.

Response: Deandre Hopkins. Fitz Hoyer Mallet Yates Weeden

He wasn't getting much separation Sunday so let's see what he does from this point forward. But he hasn't looked great since coming back from injury and I can't put him top 5 WR until he does so.

I see, I understand why you'd be mad with eight yards for FF, I don't play it and would be pissed as well if I did.

Dez still showed last year the ability that made him a top five WR, even when injured. Matt Cassel was ass last year, if you watched the Cowboys play you'd see him miss open opportunities for Dez every game. I know this offense is better this year, we will have much more opportunities to score, which means Dez will terrorize in the redzone again

Lol, if you want to take that comment about FF and use it to refute every one of my points then I guess that's your choice. He could very well be a top 5 WR again by the end of the year but it's a hard group to crack and Evans and Cooper might be challenging at that point too. His statute of limitations is up, he's not there by default anymore.

Response: I'll take any of the above except for weeden. Eh Fuck lists of you wanna plays lists wars I'm the wrong poster. I just want him to get back to form dude works extremely hard. His drops Sunday were very uncharacteristic I'm sure he'll get together at some point. Giants had safety help on him all game and I don't expect Dak to try and force passes in coverage like that, in fact I'd rather he didn't. He came very close to having some passes picked off. Giants D is built to stop cowboys run game and they did. Dez hauls in a few of those passes and we aren't having this convo but hey dems the breaks. New week, New chances to get it done.

I was agreeing with on my last comment about FF bud, but whatever.

I'm not trying to argue if he is a top five WR I said he showed the ability that had made him one, it was there, I'm saying he is not going to put up jack shit week in week out, the offense will allow him his opportunities. This all started by you leading off with "8" yards then continuing to dig at it as if that will be his stat line all year.

Saw this posted at BBV. Some defensive snap counts from last years Giants/Saints game:

Landon Collins 78
BRANDON MERRIWEATHER 78
Cromartie 77
JAYRON HOSLEY 70
Kennard 62
KERRY WYNN 56
Hankins 55
Ayers 49
Casillas 47
UANI UNGA 43
Cullen Jenkins 42
GEORGE SELVIE 35
MARKUS KUHN 34
TRUMAINE MCBRIDE 31
TREVIN WADE 30
Jay Bromley 23
Jasper Brinkley 22
DAMONTRE MOORE 14
CRAIG DAHL 11

Jayron Hosley and Trevin Wade combined to allow 11 receptions on 11 targets for 216 yards and 4 touchdowns.
11 of those players are no longer on the roster which is both incredible and completely unsurprising considering how completely awful the defense was. Especially in that game. Hyped for Sunday!

I hope he does return to form even though I'm not a Cowboys fan. Prime Dez is great to watch. I just hope that injury doesn't slow him down. Receivers/corners are probably the most athletic position and any little bit of quickness lost will affect a player more than any other position.
