The way I understand it is that occasionally they do want to talk, but if you team sees you huddle when you normally don't, they know to expect a change of strategy.

To mask this they single huddle every single point.


Happens often in doubles tennis as well. You will see the Williams sisters huddle pretty much every point at times.

The US is so much better than everyone else right now that you can only compare her to other US athletes. If Laurie Herndez or Mikayla Skinner had been put up for the all around they would have come in 2nd or 3rd as well.

AT BEST she is the 5th or 6th best all arounder on the American team this season, and the 3rd or 4th best uneven bars athlete.
