Wow this is too much downhill too fast in cycling. If there were no mosquito net looking barrier in there these cyclists will fall into a goddamn zikachu jungle.

I feel very uncomfortable with that little fence they have there considering it's a big ass drop. I say the fence should be about 6ft high.

They don't have fences normally. And it would be dangerous as well if was anything more than the net.

They normally manage to outpace cars. The speed records for one of the hills in the Tour de France was 120 kilometer per hour.

:bro fist: Mine too the cinematography is simply spectacular
Put me down for team Lawrence as well

On topic, these cyclists look fucking spent

LOL CBC commentators keep writing off Polish cycled because looks like he's given up on numerous occasions but hasn't

A lot of people here are Tour racers. They don't tend to get 200 KM+ races. Others are Classic racers, who usually do distances like this, but not at this difficulty.

If they are talking about Kwiatkowski, that is stupid. The guy is very good.

All in all a legendary race.

The SporTV app (Brazil) is pretty great, just logged in with my Net account and the streams are all organized and smooth, with individual bars showing at which point each live match/performance is at. Archived videos too, including the opening ceremony.

I could watch on the TV through their various channels, but I'd rather use the iPad if I want to catch something quickly.

BBC online is fantastic they have live coverage of pretty much every sport. A pity swimming is 2/3am here as I usually enjoy watching that.

Man, I can't even imagine cycling like this for 6 hours like these guys do. It looks like hell on earth.

The grand tours are maybe the craziest shit in all of sports. It's basically like this, only 20 more times over a span of 3 weeks (though admittedly not AS hard on most of the days).

It's no wonder that people dope.

Sooooo, are there usually zero crowd in olympic events?

Heather Watson is a pretty good name in Tennis are there are maybe ten people in the stands.....

So apparently some members of US men's Basketball team walked into a famous brazillian brothel by accident
