BBC commentators so salty about Efimova being at the Olympics/winning.

She's pretty much a lock for the gold medal. Her second 50m is just way too quick.

There's absolutely no reason why she should be swimming. It's just a joke to the entire sport that she is even there

Heads up, France has just started playing against Tunisia in Men's handball. IIRC, they are the current european (which is pretty much the world in this sport today), world, and olympic champions. I actually think they won the last 2 olympic games and worlds.

You can watch it on NBC sports app, with commentary.

Is it bad to assume that everyone is doping? Russia was probably on another level but it seems pretty obvious based on history.

Del Potro about to dust Djokovic.

I believe that during slams, the ranked players have byes through the first week, so it's a lot easier when you're highly ranked, because you're fresher. There's no such advantage in the Olympics AFAIK, so you don't have these lower seeded people tenderised by having to play into the first round.

This is not correct. No one gets a bye at slams. You are thinking of ATP 1000 events which have byes for the top players as they run a 96 player field instead of 128

When did she get caught, though? Was it this season?

Otherwise, you could ask the same about Gatlin, Sun Yang, etc.
She was caught in 2014 and served 16 months. Caught again earlier this year. Plus with the Russian state sponsored drug program. She doesn't deserve to swim
