Half of those probably won't come out. But it's the ones we don't know about, or the surprise hits, which end up making a given year 'epic'If all the games actually release on time, 2026 is shaping up to be a legendary year for gaming. Just look at the potential line-up:
- Intergalactic the heretic prophet

- Gears of War: E-Day
- Resident Evil Requiem
- GTA 6
- Crimson Desert
- Fable
- 007 First Light
- Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra
- Mouse: P.I. for Hire
- Replaced

- Saros
- Phantom Blade Zero.

Other than RE9 none of the game on your list interest me but I agree next year is gonna be great.
If only thing you play is western games then maybe but for me as fan of Japanese games this year was fantastic.

I've stopped looking forward to new releases for the most part, there is just way too much in my backlog. Very few if any of those games I'd be there for day 1.

Yeah, sure, just as amazing games can set records, it doesn't matter too much.
Breaking records it's just a bonus, it doesn't change the fact that the hype for GTA is through the roof and be it this year or whatever, just this game alone it's gonna make that year amazing.

This is sort of moot to me because I'm highly skeptical that it will come out next year. Nov 2026 release date is pretty much 2027 for me but who knows, maybe it will actually come out next year

Never has been announced for 2026 and nothing leads to think will be released in 2026.
I think it's way more likely that Intergalactic would be the main tentpole Sony release for holidays 2027.
I'd replace it in the list for Marvel Tokon, Pragmata, Onimusha and Project Century.

Most discussed OTs currently are Arc Raiders, Zenless Zone Zero, Battlefield 6, Hyrule Warriors, The Outer Worlds 2, Hollow Knight: Silksong and Mario Kart World, so I don't think NeoGAF has any right of being elitist right now, lmao.I guess if all you care about is normie slop then that list in the OP is exciting

I'd expect virtually everything with a Fall/Winter 26 release date to be pushed out. Maybe COD will stay, that might be it.

There won't be any main Zelda next year.
More slop like Hyrule Warriors and remasters... who cares about this.
Even next main Zelda has everything to prove after TotK and its reused map with barely any changes.
None of the defaults from BotW have been adressed : lack of good rewards, weapons breaking, lacks of good dungeons and good interiors.
Honestly, the next Zelda game seems to be Crimson Desert.
