seems like the show writers have been playing a lot of MGS during the offseason

I was expecting MG Rex to pop out! :D

So the Presidents son (the one from the movie) was killed, but the gf isn't in on it. She is still wearing her engagement ring.

Prolly engagaed to one of the terrorist dudes. Evil Girlfriend ftw

I didn't see them... will have to watch again.

Anyone with Sprint want to tell us what's on the "extended preview" that they were advertising?

I have Sprint, I wonder if its on that Sprint TV thing.

I found tonight's premier episode to be quite good and tomorrow looks like it shall be good as well. It seems like the writers have a nice storyline for this season and hopefully things won't get too silly or just flat out bad later in the season, especially when
the African general dude and his homies invade the White House

Man the FBI guy on the helicopter is damn lucky he didn't blow their cover while we was coming in... asshole. Let Jack Bauer do his job.

... I guess he's playing the Head of the CTU role well.

Not a bad first two episodes. I like the relatively slow pacing. And so far a lack of boring office drama.

I concur, but they are already setting up boring office drama and backstabbing. It worked the first season, but when someone at CTU turns out to be a TERRIST every season it gets old.

:lol hahaha probably more likely it's going to be the FBI headquarters, or wherever Jack is going to be working at that time.

... They already wrote out the entire season, correct? I thought I read that online this was the first time they had a vision for an entire season instead of writing it as they go along. I think that it's going to make this better.

Renee had 2 "damnits" while Jack only had one so far. Female Bauer wins!

And everyone try to avoid FOX until it airs tomorrow. They have a knack for spoiling shit right before it airs.

Obvious sexual tension between coworkers? Check.
The Mole? Check.
Evil foreign group that will result to be a front for an even more evil domestic group? Check.

REMEMBER TO SPOILER TAG ALL PREVIEW DISCUSSION? Check.

I don't watch any television during the week except for when 24 and NFL Playoffs are showing.

So fucking good. Better than any episode last season.

Oh, and Jack's jump/roll/tackle move in that Tony fight was one of his best moves ever.

It could be that but there was a scene from one of the earlier trailers for this season that had
the African dude in military gear with a gun in a very White House looking room
Maybe I'm just over thinking things but I wouldn't be surprised since this is 24 and anything can happen.

Don't forget dead best friend and understudy Zombie Tony turning evil. Just wait for the double turn where it turns out he isn't evil.. only to turn again to find out he is SUPER evil.

I love 24 :lol

Did anyone make a GIF of that by any chance? Would be awesome!

I just looked on my Sprint phone to see and its just a short clip for tomorrow. It's not much of a huge spoiler. Basically ...

That guy who picked up the component was talking to some other guy I didn't recognize in a headquarters looking base with that bad African dude. They're talking about how the FBI now has Tony, and the guy that got the component from Tony wants to go back and get him, and they have assets inside the FBI they can use to get him back. The other guy tells him that they can't and he knows that him and Tony are friends but he knew how this works.

The component friend guy of Tony's tells him though that Tony knows the next "mission" well and is ready to do it. The African guy walks up and says something and they tell him to be patient, the President just got his demands, but says "maybe they need a more forceful reminder." And that was the end. It sounded a lot like my sleeper cell theory where this organization has several people in several areas, FBI just one of them.

Oh 24...you never change. Same shit as ever, but this time with one of my favorite characters being thrown overboard in order to keep me watching.

Jack is a great character, but I'm getting tired of him. What with everything thats happened to him, I'm finding it hard for him to continually find reason to devote his all to this country. Don't get me wrong...I find it admirable but it's getting repetitive (just like the themes of the last few seasons) and I'm starting to root for the bad guy for once for the first time ever.

I hope Tony has a good reason to do what he's doing, but if he doesn't I'm still rooting for him.

Do they ever. They fucking blew the
Bill Buchanan return
as a tenth of a second shot during the promo for the behind the scenes stuff on Fox.com

Redemption and a bunch of episodes from Seasons 1 and 6 are up on Hulu, so I wouldn't be surprised if tonight's episodes are up there tomorrow.

Him and
Chloe
are both in the season 7 cast photo (they release those for all shows at the start of new seasons). It's not much of a spoiler.

I'm so glad to hear that this shit is awesome. Too bad I can't watch it tonight. FUUUUUUUUCK. I guess I'll have to watch it tomorrow! :D

I really like the FBI agent, Renee. First new character that I've liked on the show in a long time.

Educated speculation

The FBI...and maybe the government itself is highly compromised. Bill, Chloe, and Tony have started up their own "CTU" of sorts to work outside of the confines of the government to restore order. Very MGS like, methinks the writers are huge MGS fans

Man that Jack-in-the-Box deal looks pretty good now at $2.99

... man I FUCKING HATE House. I don't even watch the show, I just hate watching the promos.

fuck you! House is the best show on tv.

Anyways, it was either math homework or 24. 2 hours well spent; great first 2 episodes.
