Oh, and Renee Walker is the best female character of the show, indeed. It can't be said enough times.
Nina was pretty awesome though. Never forget!

Considering both MGS & 24 are spy/soldier related with huge governmental conspiracies and betrayals I'd say the comparison works in this scenario.Mashing said:I'm not impressed. It's too easy to compare everything to MGS. Heroes is compared to that MGS all the time as well.

Could FemBauer be Meryl?![]()

I hope S8 will be the final season. It should be about someone or some group that wants revenge and they kidnap or kill Kim and the bad dudes are moving around in France, England, and Germany. Would be cool to see Jack in those countries, acting like liam neeson kicking major ass.
Blader5489 said:If they kill off anyone, it has to be Garofalo's character. 4 episodes in and I already can't stand her.
Drakken said:Agreed, she's really annoying. There's no way someone so easily worried and... unsure, I guess, would be in that position.
Cerberus said:Seems like Janis is getting the same reactions the 24 fans had towards Chloe when she premiered in Season 3. I thought Chloe was really annoying in her first season. Didn't like her until the Season 4 premiere where she really helped out Jack and formed a tight bond with him.

Heh. Yes! I loved Chloe from her very first scene where Jack totally owns the shit out of her and she replies sarcastically, stamps off and crumples her face stubbornly at her desk. Fucking hilarious. I'm not minding Chloe 2.0, though, as i really like Garafolo. Her anxiety and bumbling act in order to hold off the lawyers had me chuckling. Plus she has been a totally worthy addition just for the hacker face-off alone. :lolfistfulofmetal said:I don't know about anyone else, but I've ALWAYS liked Chloe. She was on Mr. Show, man. Mr. Show.
Janeane Garofalo on the other hand, cunt in a hand basket. Hate with a passion.

I haven't seen Entourage, but this Billy Walsh guy has 24's patented suspicious stares and head turns down to a tee. It's cracking me the fuck up. Hopefully he gets more to do than that though!
Overall i'm liking the FBI additions. You feel like there is history between them and they all work well together. The contrast between the now off the grid CTU team is hilarious in an awesome way.
Angry Grimace said:The thing that I both like and hate about 24 is that no character is capable of staying in one situation or place for more than 2 hours. Jack will not be double-agent for more than 2 hours max.

Even though she's been on since the third season I never figured she was that high up on the show.
I still have no idea what Taylor's political affiliation is. She comes across as a Democrat to me. Ethan Kanin appeared in season 6 as Secretary of Defense to Wayne, so it makes me think she ran against Daniels as he was never officially elected. Eh, im confused. It doesn't really matter to me in the end though.Nameless said:D. Palmer-Dem

If GOP is in control of the White House, that means conceivably Mike fuckin Novick could show up!?

You know how there's a "leak" which is how Tony found out Jack and FemBauer were in that guy's office? And Has this leak been revealed? I remember there being that ONE FBI agent that helped the sniper out...answer not clear though
Gordon spoke about how the writers' strike ended up being somewhat beneficial for the show creatively, despite the year long delay. Eight episodes had been shot when the strike began, and Gordon said that coming back, they were able to look at those eight episodes and rejigger them to some extent and "Plan more carefully for the rest of the season." Gordon noted that "As proud as we are of the first half [of Season 7], the second half is my favorite." Gordon brought up how there had been criticism that 24 dragged in the middle of the season in the past, but that this year they were particularly proud of the show moving forward from the eighth episode.
The most recent seasons of 24 had raised the stakes considerably, culminating in a nuclear bomb going off in Valencia, CA at the start of Season 6. Gordon said that going into the seventh season, he and the writers had decided, "The way to speed things up is to slow them down. The most important thing is to locate Jack Bauer emotionally in the context of these stories." Gordon noted that when it came to literally going bigger than ever, "Obviously, unless we blow up the world next year, we can't do that. I think this year, in some ways we've gone back to basics. The first year, it was a very different show. A lot less happened in each hour." Gordon said that in subsequent seasons, the danger was in becoming "kind of like crack addicts. We doubled the dosage. We have to not fall into the 'how can we tap ourselves' question, and hopefully we've done that."

Tony + Jack undercover needs to happen for at least 5 episodes. It's the most awesome thing ever and the writers know it! Hell, undercover are always the best parts. That's why I like S3 so much. Jack pulling off that crazy shit with his gun to earn trust is so satisfying to watch!MrCheez said:Yeah, pretty accurate observation. I hope the Dream Team lasts more than an episode or two![]()
