It does not exclude eShop or Steam cards. I used one of each to push my orders over $100.
Haven't tried PSN or XBL, but I doubt they're excluded either.
They're excluded from the discount, but you can use them to push you over the $100 limit. The discount is pro-rated for the amount of the eligible items.

How do these orders charge btw? So if I say, order BOTW, and Mario Galaxy on the same order. When it charges, does it charge for both when BOTW is out? Or just for the "amount" on BOTW.

Breath of the Wild amiibo and the Poochy amiibo leave me at $80 after GCU.
Not sure if I'm going to go that route and just add $20 to my order or pick more games to preorder.
My card expires this year so anything with an unknown release date I'm pretty sure is a no go.

Doesn't for me. I tried a few combinations myself. Just adding a $100 PSN did nothing. Adding a $60 game and a $50 PSN card got me a $15 discount. I tried a $100 PSN card again with some cheap earbuds and it went down to $1 and some odd cents. Discount is maybe prorated to the items that are included in the deal.

I was hoping this would pop up again soon. I ended up with South Park The Fractured But Whole and Mass Effect Andromeda Deluxe for $42.24 each after GCU, Nier lost out to rental status. Nioh+DQH2 from same promotion. in Dec. for $38.51 ea.

So I pre-ordered $10 games this week and got 3 amiibo.
Total = $394 excluding the Amiibo that's literally $39 per game.
I'm paying dem 3DS game rates. Dammn Best Buy is the god when it comes to savings in Gaming.
So with that $394 + $317 for Switch. The eventual $70 SD Card I'll pick up and $80 Joycons = $861
I still have $139 in my gaming budget this year. So any last minute game releases this year, or maybe things that will go on sale. :3

would it count for botw special edition which happens to be 99.99.. or am i screwed out of that and forced to pay over 100?
If you have GCU then it is way less than 99.99 for you, and it won't work. As for standard 99.99... you can try but you might have to add a filler item. HDMI cord or something super cheap.
Bah, shouldn't be staring at all these upcoming games. Also preordered Nier and Person 5. FYI if you are under $100, there is a USB Sandisk flash drive for $4.99 to put you over the threshold.

Greeaat. canceled my yesterday's preorder of the special edition of botw. And when I try to preorder it again with the $25 off, it allows me, but won't let me ship, and there isn't a store I can pick up within 250 miles. Wish I never saw this thread.

Does anyone recommend any 128-256GB micro sd card brands that would be compatible with the switch? Then again micro sd cards are much cheaper on amazon. ugh.

Subtotal over $100 and then Visa Checkout. If your Subtotal is over $100 and you aren't getting the full $25 off then something in your order is part of the exclusions for the promotion.
