UK expedited shipping will be about $5 additional + VAT. We'll collect payment information when you finalize your order, and then process the charge at the time of shipment.

Found at the comments section. Does anyone know how much would that VAT add to the cost? I'm starting to shiver...

The only thing stopping me (original Pebble backer) from backing it right now, and for the last month, is the crazy bezel-on-bezel action.

I am still tempted to pick up an original Steel. That looks way better than either of two Time options.

But I want that colour screen. :/

Just for the sake of not having this bezel-on-bezel aesthetics,i personally would have rather paid 30$~50$ more to have a bigger screen or alternatively having a smaller battery even if it might reduce the battery life to just 10 days.

whoa, just read some comments and saw a spot open for early bird. changed from $179 to $159. lucky.

There's another spot free now.

There will probably be a bunch over the next couple of days as people get cold feet.

From the looks of things I will probably be paying around $230 Canadian with taxes and expedited shipping costs. Maybe less. If I bought a Pebble Time retail in Canada it would probably cost around $239-$249 before tax. It's still a deal and still way cheaper than an Apple Watch.

I am still mulling over an Apple Watch. It's $449 in Canada. :/

I'm deeply disappointed by update 10.

I am definitely curious about duty to Canada. Extra shipping fees is disappointing as well but not unexpected for Canada. No way it should take 4-6 weeks to get to Canada.

It's shipping from Hong Kong (via Singapore Post) so "4 to 6 weeks" is actually accurate for the cheapest shipping option. I've ordered some small gadgets/games from Asia before and that's how long it took. There's no tracking either, it just shows up randomly in the mailbox. I vowed never again and I would definitely upgrade to the Expedieted shipping method. The good news is it arrives via CanadaPost, and the Pebble packaging is very small, so you almost certainly won't get hit with duties and taxes.

However the problem is the iWatch CAD pricing. It's $519 for the 42mm Sport, before taxes! And I want the a SS which is even more expensive. :/

If I calculated correctly, my Pebble Time Steel would cost 330 dollars with expedited shipping and a VAT of 24% imported to Europe. I have a couple of days to decide if I want to pay that or cancel my pledge. Seems awfully high.

Also, lots of angry/confused people at the Kickstarter page.

I just got an OG but still looking forward to to new Time (have an early bird).

Sorry to the folks where this isn't a smooth transaction or isn't what you were looking for though.

If you feel unsure you can always cancel and apparently they will even refund people after the kickstarter ends. At least they let people know about the shipping and vat before the end of the kickstarter.

Had an early bird pledge, switched to the 250$ Steel pledge and now trying to decide if I should try and grab the early bird again.

EDIT: Affter a bunch of F5 changed my pledge to a 159$ Pebble Time.

I recently ordered a dock for my New 3DS from Japan and used their cheapest shipping option. It was in limbo for a month with no tracking details before it randomly appeared at my office.

I will always go with the expedited option from now on, especially for a product like this.

Looks like the Time will cost me around $238 if there is duty charged since Hong Kong is a non-NAFTA country. I am still ok with this.

I know the screens are the same size but the way the bezel is handled differently on the the time vs. the time steel makes the steel screen seem smaller.

Do you mean the type of shipping (regular, 2-day, etc)?

With early units going out in may it shouldn't be too hard to get in contact with them though KS or elsewhere to adjust that.

comments on their kickstarter says that option will come later on a portal of some kind.
is this correct?

money has already been drawn from my account, while I was sleeping, so I was surprised to see it when I was paying my bills and noticed.

Not sure if new but I saw this picture on their Facebook timeline

They will send out an email to select your colour and shipping method.

Card charged. Came out to $213 CAD.

What colour is everyone going for here? I'm torn!

I have the early bird Pebble Time pledge. I will probably get the red one. Though I am not sure how well it will match with other bands.

https://www.kickstarter.com/project...esome-smartwatch-no-compromises/posts/1179422

I've grown quite fond of the red too, but the band colour compatibility is a potential worry. I'd like to see it in person, product promo shots always look so much nicer than the real thing when you have a real screen shining as opposed to a super imposed one.

I quite like how neutral the white is, but not sure if it's too feminine...

No chance I'd go for white because it doesn't go with anything I wear. I can see how it would be a good choice for someone though.

The red actually looks kind of delicious in the pics, but very few bands or watchfaces will match it nicely. Not gonna risk it. I can always get a colorful band for the black model if I want that splash of color. But I'd definitely consider it if I was relatively sure I won't be needing another band. (FYI, my old Pebble's original band just snapped in half a few months ago, so I know they are not very durable.)

My rationale was that in the promo shots/videos it looked a lot like a fitness wearable. Given the Pebble Time's aesthetics I thought a fitness wearable look would be more socially acceptable than a blocky watch. But it definitely doesn't look as nice in that recent real life shot...

Does it have any fitness applications such as pedometer/heart-rate/etc?

That is really the only way I will ever buy a smartwatch.

Pedometer yes. I use the misfit app on my Pebble and it tracks steps and sleep. No HR monitor though, but that's something they've talked about adding through a band.

They posted in their comments last week that we should see the survey this week for our watch colour and shipping.

Can't wait.

Backerkit emails are in, and no new product shots :( Black seems the safest option but the most boring, white might possibly look too feminine and red looks nice but possibly will limit band options... decisions.

Hmmm. Still haven't receive mine. I am pretty late in the numbering though so they might be going out in waves.

That's where my survey email was.
