Not sure what to title this. If someone comes up with anything clever we can ask a mod to add it.

Game is a lot of fun.

I am not sure if I like it. played a few rounds, but I just am not a fan of fighting games without input specials

makes every character feel more samey and completely removes an entire character type (charge characters) essentially.

I didn't like it at first then turned off pulse combos. That's the auto combo feature. Now it's really clicking.

The announcement the devs put out just shit on a lot of players enthusiasm for this game…

"We're constantly amazed by how much sauce you have found in the short time you've had access to Season 1. You all have pushed our champions and systems well beyond their limits, and it has been exciting and a little terrifying to see. While 2XKO's core gameplay systems are flexible and allow for a ton of creativity, those same systems are unfortunately making the game feel way too sharp and overwhelming for some players. As a result, you can expect us to take some big swings towards allowing players to get back to the action more quickly and also making interactions more intuitive in general. This will likely feel different than the game you are playing today, more in line with our intended vision for the game, and more satisfying for players and spectators alike."

Like bro you've been making this for 9 years now and you still don't know wtf you want this to be?

Really soured my enjoyment of the game an maybe sticking with it. Back to VF5 with me.

like I always say. AAA devs don't know how to make games anymore.

Street Fighter 3 was developed in 2 years, it's still played today. Third Strike is still one of the best games in the genre and still produces legendary moments at EVO 25 years after release.

meanwhile one of the wealthiest developers can't make a fighting game to their liking while working on it for almost a decade, with probably multiple times more people working on it.

I like the game in its current state.

What I don't like is they copied the league store… who the fuck wants to buy chromas? The arcane skins? $100 to get them and you can't buy individually. $100 or none.

F2P and all but it's insane what they're asking compared to other fighters or even regular league lol.

Straight rip off and worse than valorant.

Anybody still playing? Now seems like a decent time to start/return since the current champion unlock event nets two characters(Senna and Thresh).

The new climb PvE mode provides a nice diversion from practice mode. Each run progresses through a series of nodes that add modifiers to your team. Effects range from simple stuff like more damage/defense to the batshit like instant tags with no cooldown. It has three difficulties to choose from and daily/weekly challenge progress is counted.

I gave up. It's a very intense game and requires really good execution compared to most modern fighters.

I prefer the insanity of invincible vs more.

Wish Capcom would make a new dark stalkers. :(

As a non fighting games fan I played this a bit and enjoyed it. Thought I was good cause I was winning a lot until I reached to a point where I get juggled to hell and back. Dropped it and never returned

Riot showing the world why simplified controls aren't the great equalizer they are made out to be. I am shocked by how intense matches can get precisely because of the streamlined execution. Missing an input can cost the match due to the swing in damage.

The new player experience needs work. A few characters like Darius do 80% off pulse combos which has to suck when starting out.

maybe will try some time in this month but really, I get tired of the lobby avatar system, I just wish there was a fucking menu to play as quickly as possible, and actually someone recorded a few days ago a clip that makes you see how it is stupidly late to find a match in ranked, never played ranked myself due to this stupid thing on "oh I find you a match, here go to this station please" nonsense.

The matchmaking works the same in casual now. You can press M to queue for a cross lobby match instead of waiting at a cabinet. Sitting at a cabinet can draw out of lobby players to you. I'm also not a big fan of visual lobbies. I like being able to spectate by walking up to a cab. It's much more intuitive than other games which require you to effectively load into a match to watch what's going on.

Samira is cool. She's essentially Dante in her kit.

Lux is boring and a shit addition.

Samira looks neat. She came after my time with LoL so I don't know much about her. Vibe is right though. Lux looks bland for lack of a better word. Too safe.
