this is what im working with
I...I want these.

Are they tasty?

That's impressive... the most I've done is a 10-12 page paper in a night on symbolism in "The Matrix".

Although I did get an A+ from the chair of the English department on that :).

While no where near as insane as the OP's paper, I have a 10 page paper due on Thursday. Problem is I won't be able to start it until Wednesday night after all my other exams are done for that day.

Had a 3500 word paper due today. Did it all yesterday....fucking worst shit ever since at about 2000 words I pretty much talked about everything that was needed. I have no idea what bullshit I wrote to get to 3000 words. All primary sources. And the prof is one of the highest ranked toxicologists in Canada. And he pretty much knows everything about my topic...I wasnt even supposed to do my topic, until some girl accidentally took mine so I had to take hers. Fuck toxicology, fuck sulfur dioxide, and fuck school....I just realized I have an exam tomorrow and the next day and I havent started studying.

I gotta say this thread really puts my situation in perspective. I've got a 3 to 5 page research paper due on Wednesday that I was sweating about until I read about some of the other experiences people have had on here :lol .

The best/worst experience I had was writing a 30-page ethnography in one night. My topic was college students who had taken psychedelics and how positive and negative experiences of the altered state had influenced their lives, if at all. I had to have recorded interviews with every person in my paper, which was 10 people, so I had to listen to every interview and write down their stories and detail what happened to them, and each interview was minimum 30 minutes. Ended up with 40 pages, an A+, and now that professor uses my six-page intro as an example of how to make a proper intro for all of his classes. Took me about eight hours to write it with no breaks. I'm proud of that paper.

so you spent 5 hours scribing down what the tapes said, and 3 writing a 6 page introduction and editing the rest? all that in 3 hours seems unbelievable, good job

Yeah, not exactly. There was a lot more to it than that.

well i just mean by your math 5 of the 8 hours were spent solely putting into written form what was in audio form. then the rest of the 30 page paper was done in 3 hours?

So glad I'm still in High School. My English essay only had to be 750 - 900 words :lol
I don't even remember how you can do something half decent in that amount of words. That would barely cover my introduction now :lol

I just tried to take my online final when my computer shut down and now I'm locked out :( I contacted the professor. Nothing yet...

Yeah, I went over the limit on my first draft and had to trim it down.

I guess I should clarify that I didn´t have to put into full written word all 30 minutes of the interviews, and I skimmed through parts of them. A lot of the work was analyzing what happened to them and relating it to everyday life, and to my own experiences. The worst part was when I realized two of my required five primary sources couldn´t be used and then had to find two more sources before the deadline. You try finding primary sources on that topic.

I don't think I can write a decent or even a presentable 30 pager overnight.

if i sat for an entire night and typed every disparate, randomized word that popped into my head, i would not come up with thirty pages.

what's occurred here is superhuman to me.

Can you upload it for us to read? I've never seen a 30 pg paper and am kinda curious how one looks.

If he does this, it could show up in those plagiarism programs. Not a good idea.

If you write what needs to be said you usually won't need 30 pages.

I wrote a supposed 30 page thesis in 17 pages for my final milestone business course and was just given a 100 on it. Its because it said what needed to be said, there was nothing else to discuss.

Professor was a hardcore motherfucker too usually like 40% of his students pass. Basically the final boss of college.

I didn't have a 30 page essay due but I had 4 essays due within finals week on top of 2 finals, which were: an 8-10, 2x 10-12 and one 15 page essay. Although doing several moderate essays is significantly easier than doing one extremely larger one, at least for me.

I have two days to write five papers (four 4 page papers, one 10 page paper), have to read at least two books, and study for a final exam on friday. And I'm getting distracted by every damn thing I see. I even woke up early today to start working and four hours later I haven't done jack. Maybe I should play a game of Civilization V to take my mind off of it.

I have a 2 page paper due on Friday. My quarter system means I just started my winter courses a week ago.

Heh...

I do have to do a character drawing over winter break though, which will probably take me a few hours.

:lol I like this.

Turned in my 11 page research paper on Ramen Spectroscopy this morning. I started research at about 6pm last night.

Probably the last paper I will write in college :*(

Haven't been in college for 9 years, but I still think that page limits for a paper are crap. If you are a strong enough writer to not have to add 10 pages of bullshit to make the teacher think you did enough you shouldn't have to.

Most times when teachers said 30 or so pages, I'd write 20 or so. Only once or twice did they take off for the length.
