I suppose it's a matter of comfortability. Twerking is derived from African dance which features a lot of ass gyrating but somehow I doubt you would consider that degrading.

People have been dancing sensually in an exhibitionist fashion for a long time. I do not think any less of a woman who is comfortable doing something like this.
