360: Adjusting for Overscan

I'm using an SDTV via component with a bit of nasty overscan (left side of the screen is "pushed" too far to the left)...Any good ways to compensate via the 360's settings as opposed to messing with my TV's service mode? I looked but didn't see anything...

Nothing you can do on the 360 itself. You'll have to dig out for your TV's service menu.

Tube TVs really are the worst offenders when it comes to overscan. I can't believe they aren't adjusted before leaving the factories.

the solution is HDTV 1080p. Made the jump earlier this year because I was tired of having to deal with those sorts of issues.

some 1080p tvs still have issues with this. there's at least one model of samsung i know about.

actually, it's on the 360 that's having the problem. everything else is fine. thats why i was hoping there was some "screen adjustment" setting in the 360 dashboard
