3DS launch prices at Ibero America.

Here in Europe we'll be raped, but 415 USD... man, that's just... I feel sorry for you guys.

I wonder how much it costs Nintendo to manufacture each unit.

Puerto Rico
$249.99 (+7% tax) everywhere, $284.99 (+7% tax) at K-mart. :p

Freaking K-mart rise prices on videogames 14% over the MSRP and then charge tax on top of it. Multiple people has complained about it, but "they're looking into it"; since it's only in the videogames section.

Huh, I've never heard of "Ibero-America" before. Had to look it up on Wikipedia. :lol

PS: yall are getting gouged. :-(

regarding mexico, only a complete moron would buy ANY gaming hardware in Mexico.

You can buy it yourself on a vacation trip in the US or ask anyone who has a relative there to have them send you the hardware, specially anyone living in the northern states (like me).

I like to go the gameplanets to laugh at the price tags :lol, they are absolutely crazy.

Tell me about it. I can't believe the prices for games in there.

Gameplanet.... LOL. Them Soab... Never would I buy anything from them. It is amazing how thriving and healthy their chain is though, they keep opening new locals in Mexico City.

I expect around $250.000 CL

That's like 500 bucks. Glad gravijah is getting mine.

Nah, it's probably that the console will be around 200000 clp, no more than that.

Wii was 260 at todojuegos, and that was like the cheapest it got at actual launch here if I remember correctly.

Pff, I saw a PS3 at a major Retail store (Falabella) going for $900 CLP. That's like $1800 dollars!

Qué les pasa !!?.

>:/ !!!!. . . Way to fight piracy with those prices... Forcing us to import hardware and software. Seriously !

That was only on one store though. Most other places was $600CLP, and it's dropped a lot now.
And software prices are pretty good here, so no problems with that regard.

Just thank God Nintendo hasn't decided to make Latin America its own region.

Currencies back then were different than today, you know... Or do you still buy 60000 clp games like in the N64 era?

You know, that was like, 5 years ago. Not to mention that department store retailers are just stupid regarding prices, unlike retailers in the US. Gaming focused stores have most of the time reasonable prices.

Yeah I guess... Dollar wasn't that high in 2006, was like 600 something right? But yeah, I'm just a youngling, so I didn't have the best financial expertise back then (laughs)

It is fucking disgusting what kmart does and they have been doing it for as long as I can remember. Luckily, PR has plenty if options that carry the regular price.

Brazilian "official" price will easily be above US$600.....

However, I guess anybody who actually gives a shit won't get it by the "official" means, it's always like this....

The "official" Latin American prices for video games are always such stupid bullshit. That's why nobody buys this shit at official stores, use your brain morans. PS3 games at "official" retailers go for $100 USD. At an import store they're $65, tax included. :lol

Keep it classy guys....

HIJOS DE SU REPUTÍSIMA MADRE ! ! CREEN QUE VOY A PAGAR CINCO MIL PUTOS PESOS POR ESA MADRE !? ESTAN PERO SI BIEN PENDEJOS !

Costa Rican unofficial exchange rate for all games devices and software is always $1 = 1000 colones.
So I would say the 3DS will cost here 250000 colones.

Definitely looking at the Amazon pre-orders, then

I expect the price in Brazil to be over US$750. And, honestly, I'm being optimistic.

Just for reference, the Wii launched here for about $1300. Nowadays it costs $600 in big store chains.

Doesn't matter to me anyway. Since 2006 I've never bought a single piece of hardware here. I plan on buying mine in NY during the launch week.

You guys got it good! Here on the moon we have to pay 50,000 spacebucks for the Wii. AND IT HAS INPUT LAG BECAUSE WE'RE ON THE FUCKING MOON AND THE LACK OF GRAVITY SUCKS

The price in Australia is more than likely going to be $400 AUD, which works out to $399.10 USD

Games will also cost 70-80 USD over here.

I'll definitely be importing from the US.

This was expected though, it's gameplanet AND a console/handheld from Nintendo, this has always been this way, even when they were officially represented by gamela remember? God awful inflated prices.

In Ecuador, If it is in the same range when the Nintendo Wii was relased * 400 dollars in almost all the stores. I can guess the same price. Luckily im at China : D so maybe I ll grab a Japanese one.

I want to found my own country just so I can smuggle in games consoles and gouge the citizenry.

This is funny, but I have no way to express the mirth I am currently feeling.

I find it funny when people in EU bitch about videogame being more expensive over there...

Psh, Mexico has it easier than the rest of the latin american countries, it isnt that hard for them to acquire US consoles
at least that's what I was told by some mexican friends
