this has happened at least five times before

there are people on gaf who got 50,000+ ms points from the coke zone thing a few summers ago.

there are people on gaf who got 3+ years of free live from the netflix thing last year.

they aren't going to revoke your points. they aren't going to ban your account. they probably technically can--in fact, they probably technically can ban you for no reason other than that your farts smell--but this has happened many times before and they don't ban people.

why not? because it doesn't cost ms anything. the partners get a fixed amount of codes from ms. they give out those codes. the people being "defrauded" (rolleyes) here are t-mobile, not ms. t-mobile presumably wanted to expose this promotion to more customers, but because people are stockpiling, fewer customers got it. ms wasn't ripped off.

imagine that there's a promotion at a store in a mall where they give away free t-shirts. if you scam the promotion and get free t-shirts from the store, nike isn't the one being scammed, the store is. use your brain.

I managed to grab 5200 points :-D (should've been closer to 7200 but duplicate codes and for a while the site was glitching and sent me the same code five times)

which makes me happy since my 1600 points card refuses to activate probably since my account is supposedly locked down while they are investigating whoever hacked me (I probably will call them about that since it was almost two weeks ago and still haven't heard anything)
