50% off PlayStation Store Transaction Using Cash App

Offer might not be available for everyone, but if you open Cash App and search PlayStation, their page will show this offer. If you add this and pay using Cash App it will take off 50% (up to $50 off). It shows the full amount on the PlayStation website but when you check the transactions on Cash App it will show the discounted rate. Just purchased Saros Deluxe for $43.

You have to open the Cash App and search for PlayStation to see it, there isn't a direct link. If it's not there then you likely didn't get it.

$50 limit on the discount. And if you have wallet funds, PSN will use them first. You could always spend the wallet funds on pre-orders to zero out your wallet and then cancel the pre-orders as a work around.

Go to the Cash App home screen. Hit the search button in the upper righthand corner, search for Playstatoin, scroll the results until you see PlayStation Store under the Business section. One of the results should show it has active offers. Click than one, select the offer, redeem.
 
Thanks WoodyStare WoodyStare , worked like a wonder. Pre-ordered Pragmata for $32 dollars!

Pre-orders don't stack up with regular stuff in the cart, otherwise I would buy $100 stuff and max out the discount.
 
This must be American only?
No Cash App on the Canadian App Store (iOS) :(

So cash app will subtract you wallet funds first and then give you 50% off the balance? or will it use my existing wallet funds at a 50% rate?
 
Maybe Sony will make the discount dynamic also, while making the game dynamically cost more while they're at it.
 
Ugh.. I have like $120 in my wallet from gift cards and it's not giving me the option to use another payment method first, so I can't take advantage of the 50% off.

Already preorder Saros, the other few sure buys other than Pragmata are not available for preoder – Hades 2, Wolverine, GTA VI

PSN will use your wallet funds first. You'd get 50% off of whatever Cash App pays out on the promotion. So if you had $10 wallet funds and purchased a $50 game, you'd pay $10 via PSN wallet funds and $20 to Cash App (50% of $40).

These promos are so finicky. I tried to do one last time it was offered, and it declined without giving any reason why and completely removed the offer without using it. Guess I can try again but not expecting much.

There really needs to be a way to use alternate payment methods even when you have wallet funds.

There are games I wouldn't mind buying at 50% off the sale price but I have $175 in wallet funds.

Pre-order games to use your wallet funds. Cancel pre-orders once you've used the promo.

I'm glad I didn't connect my bank account to this shady ass company. If they're okay with this, they probably are okay with being lax on security and will get hacked by Iran or North Korea before you know it.

These deals are so annoying to begin with. Total enshittification. They make it difficult to claim, it seems to work different for each person, you can't even clearly tell when it's applied, and somehow it can be abused. You don't know if it's really working until you already commit to making the purchase.

Paypal did a similar thing around Black Friday and ended up killing it randomly.
 
Yeah got the offer went throw the hoops it kept erroring out. Finally went through and came out normal price. Had to prompt a refund.

When you pay for it on PSN and use Cash App as the payment, it will not show the 50% off on Playstation. It will look like you paid full price. You then check the Cash App to see how much you really paid for it.
