Again, it could have just meant that GW was kept in the dark and was programmed to assume that it was supposed to be a more faithful Shadow Moses simulation. JW's reveal of what S3 really is puts a lot of things in context that even the supposed masterminds were still puppets in a grander scheme.

Okay, I put some more thought into it. So basically the A.I conversation at the end meant that the operation was to collect data if GW can accurately manipulate people even if it's kept in the dark about specific key events. Just seeing if I got what you meant.

Well, I think it's more that the other AIs are the master manipulators and GW was just one component to that end. Their experiment ended up a success so they considered GW's sacrifice worthwhile.

Oh, he's not playing with game over on sight? That's actually harder so that's cool that they're doing that.

EDIT: ohnYes is seriously the funniest emote.

I've played MGS2 like a billion times, and I still don't get why Stillman's bomb goes off before Raiden's. Didn't the 200 second countdown start for both at the same time?

Booby trap among a booby trap.

Is that ever explicitly said, or are you just inferring it? Because when it first activates Stillman mentions the time of 200 seconds, and then 30 seconds before he dies, he mentions it having 30 seconds left.

Fake edit: Wait, he mentions the microwave trigger. I always assumed that was a warning to Raiden not to get close or it will explode, but did he actually mean that when he tripped the microwave trigger the countdown automatically went down to 30 seconds?

That sucks really, Kojima really gave out to the complainers. Man I don't know why people complain so much about supernatural in MGS2 when it they don't do it in MGS1 or 3.

MGS1 has a psychic that reads minds and controls people.
MGS3 got a man who controls a swarm of bees, an astronaut that turns into this vengeful fire spirit after defeated, a sniper that has photosynthesis and listens to the forest, a ghost, and a lightning man. MGS3 went crazy with it.

For Vamp, it was implied that he revives when he's in contact with water. All three times you take him out, he's in contact with water. As Dog pointed out, his wounds doesn't heal.
For Fortune, she makes weapons "A DUD". I bet you can go up to her and snap her neck or something.

MGS3 also has Ocelot as the son of said ghost, already giving an explanation for the whole arm thing. Everything in MGS3 also can't be explained with nanomachines, so yeah.

The fact of the matter is, a lot of people don't even ask for an explanation for supernatural things in MGS3 or even MGS1.

I don't get why MGS2 is a special case, when it's relatively tame in comparison.

Knight to the rescue (was actually wondering where he was at when drk took over for a bit). Looks like he's gonna do a big boss run to get back to where Dogg was at.

Guess when you have superior genes and always groomed, you more worry about the impact you make then genetic survivability.

But yeah: desire, survival, and will.
