AndyMoogle said:Do some of you think that he's BOUGHT 6 360s?
Very unlikely. For some reason MS think it's better to refurb old shitty zephyrs instead of just handing out falcons/jaspers. You'd think that it would be much cheaper in the long run if they didn't have to keep repairing old 360s.Corky said:thats also a good suggestion, but do you believe there is a chance they'll send me a jasper in return?

Metalic Sand said:It comes down to how much you have invested into a system actually. No one wants to go and rebuy games for another system, It would cost alot.
Nice try though junior.
eggandI said:God damn, 6? I sold mine on the 3rd. Still gonna get to play Halo Reach though, I can just borrow my brother's 360.
BigBlackGamer said:I would just buckle down and buy a jasper and call it a day.
Class_A_Ninja said:You should never get so attached to things. I successfully turned my back on my library and switched. Number 4, the one that is still alive, has lived a long time only playing the occasional exclusive.
It was less that it broke a lot and more that I would need to buy an Xbox (TM) HDMI cable if I wanted 5.1 sound once I finally got a nice TV. That was the final cable, dongle, charger, HDD, or subscription to use the internet I could take.
So I spent 300 dollars to leave, but it was still worth it.
Vorador said:The sixth one?! OMFG
I would go crazy if it broke on me six times.
As other gaffers said, it would be better imo to send the broken one, buy an arcade or the cheapest bundle available meanwhile, and sell the refurbished when it arrives. You may lose money, but you gain reliability.
BravoSuperStar said:Yeah, you should just sell the one you get back from repair, or trade it in towards a jasper.

vic2020 said:What are people going to do if microsoft stops supporting 360s in the future? Older consoles like the NES rarely break down but I'd be wary of investing in too many games on any systems with shitty reliability rates.

Corky said:Well I might've become upset from time to time, but the lack of videogames doesnt really anger me I have a plethora of hobbies but it sure is unfortunate that it has to turn out like this.
I might sell the refurbished on and get one with the smaller chipsets, though I have yet to even call the support ( closed atm ).
edit : also my suspicion has been confirmed, it definitely seems ( judging by this thread alone ) that not all are compensated for the hardware failures ( i.e live-time etc ).
Mizzou Gaming said:Who else didn't get compensated for their warranty repair? If you go to the Xbox Support site it flatout tells you right there any console repaired under warranty comes with one month free. This is an actual card by the way, they dont just apply it to your account. Im guessing you missed it, they tape it right on the console itself. If you didnt get one call MS, because you should have.
I said earlier I haven't been compensated for my RROD issues. Thinking back, I actually did get a 1-month card for my first repair, but didn't get anything for the three times following that.Mizzou Gaming said:Who else didn't get compensated for their warranty repair? Corky said:Well, a couple of guys have stated here in the thread that they have either been compensated a fraction of the times, and some not at all.
Mizzou Gaming said:No if you read everyone has said the only thing they got compensated for was a one month card. Looking in the main 360 repair thread everyone was compensated for one month. Like I said its written into the warranty so Im thinking you accidently threw it away. I just dont see them forgetting to include it for you 6 times.

This gentleman, got a 1month card once, the other times he didnt get anything.
Mizzou Gaming said:Im not defending the 360's awful reliability. It is bad, I know it, you know it everyone knows it. Im simply taking your OP into consideration and telling you as part of the warranty coverage a one month card is included. Do you remember getting the packing slips?
Truespeed said:Microsoft should just redesign the damn thing and address the problem from the ground instead of trying to patch it with their minor MB revisions. They clearly understand the root of the problem so just put in the preventive measures from it ever happening. Besides, isn't the 360 due for a re-design?
Corky said:I'm afraid I dont, but I'm almost positive that the only thing I got was the refurb 360.
Yazus said:My 360 RROed like a minute ago. I was with my gf and a friend trying to watch a film and then suddently the 360 tv signal starts to interrupt like every 5 min.
I started to scream when I reboot it and what do I get? 3 rings of domm! FUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK
Anyways.... It was an elite 360 falcon... still in warranty so Its no problem, but FUCK THIS SHIT FINAL FANTASY XIII IN 10 DAYS AND MY 360 RROD WHAT THE FUCKKKKKKKKKKKK
edit: my girlfriend was traumatized when I started running around like a crazy saying "NOO SHIT JUST GOT REAL NOOO" ahahahah :lol :lol

Foil said:You'd figure with all the hardware issues Microsoft would have been trying to get a slim unit out asap. If any console needs one it's the 360, assuming they actually get the internal design right. They'd remove some of the hardware failure stigma and get a big sales push from people upgrading and new people buying the slim. I'm not sure what they're thinking over there sometimes.
Making a smaller, quieter, more reliable 360 seems like something that should have already happened. They could improve the controller dpad while they're at it.
Gaogaogao said:most of them end up ok, its only when the original developer doesn't work on the ps3 version that it turns out crap.
valve and platinum games, im looking at you.
