I think a lot of people (at least on GAF) will agree with their hype levels on stuff like AC4, BF4, CoD, etc. I sure couldn't care less about any of that stuff, so don't feel bad! I'm also right with Mark on the Batman games; I'm sure they're fine and I'd probably enjoy them, but they've just never stuck out to me as something I really need to seek out and play.

I got to admit, the constant creaming on Dark Souls is starting to wear on me. Hopefully the Souls-cast you guys have planned has a more centrist approach toward the game because I don't think I can listen to an hour or two of hyperbole dumped upon it. The game is fine, but I don't share the opinion of Dark Souls being exemplary of anything.
A few episodes back I think they even said that most of them haven't even beaten it yet, which is weird when they heap on so much praise.
But whatever, they didn't really linger on it very long this week. It's E3 hype time, everyone's getting hyperbolic. GAF, me, EVERYONE.

Mark pressed John a little bit on that point which I thought was interesting. Hopefully that's the type of conversation the Souls-cast is filled with.

Surprised they didn't really talk about the Kinect stuff much. It was actually the worst to me. They claim you can basically completely turn it off, but it is still required to be connected? I know Mark briefly mentioned it, and I'm not one for conspiracy theories, but that screams bullshit.

With how lukewarm they are about the Batman games, I really think 8-4 needs to get into Arkham City - truly one of the games of the generation and easily within the same sentence as any of the other greats this generation.
