Mark, you were 1000% right when you said Everybody's Golf is pay to win.
It's been that since the Vita version.

The max club you can get in the game for free is a level 3 club. Each club type(big air, control, turbo spin) etc has advantages and disadvantages(eg +10 distance, -5 control). A higher level club has increased advantages and/or decreased disadvantages. so a Level 4 big air would be say +15 yards, and -5 control. Where a level 6 Big air would be +25 yards, -3 control etc.
That absolutely gives you an advantage since some par 4's become reachable in 1, some par 5's become reachable in 2, and you get shorter approach shots on all the other holes. It's a tremendous advantage.
In World invitational, you only had to buy everything once. If you bought a level 6 big air club, that would replace whatever big air clubs you had in game once you unlocked the big air clubs.
The new game coming out next month might be even worse since in the beta, balls were consumable and only lasted 1 round. So instead of Pay $1 and getting better Big Air balls to use infinitely, you might pay $1 and get a handful of better balls that will only last you 5 rounds, then you'll have to pay up again.
I'm enjoying the mobile game though. Just wish I could understand what I was doing. I wasted 60,000 coins on outfits trying to get new clubs because I didn't realize you had to tap left once you clicked on the disco ball gotcha thing to get to the equipment pulls.
Also I would love to know what the thumbs up is for. Is it like "this person wasn't a douche online"?
Not that there's anyway to be a jerk in the game that I can see.
