In a time when we're overexposed to voices we are sick of hearing from the industry, it's great to have Robert Ashley back.
Now work harder!
Hey guys. Sorry to the folks who missed the poster. It's hard to triangulate the whole limited edition super special thing with proper fan service. It won't be possible to collect all the posters from the series going forward, but hopefully we'll make it so that everybody will have luck now and again.
Keep in mind, the more of this stuff I sell, the less time I have to actually make the show. Mailorder takes a ton of time. So there's some balance there too.
Oh I get all that regarding the poster, just a little harmless ribbing. I'm thrilled people love the show as much as I do and they go so quickly! Time permitting, I hope you make more shirts! Would love to show my support more than I already have with your albums.Hey guys. Sorry to the folks who missed the poster. fixed for me.In a time when we're overexposed to voices we are sick of hearing from the industry, it's great to have Robert Ashley back.
Now work on a new LP!
First time listening to this podcast and I have to say, the sound editing/mixing is amazingly well done. Having done an interview/audio editing project for a class last semester, it's amazing how many layers of sound each segment has. It's right up to par with NPR's stuff. It reminds me of This American Life but with video games/the game industry being the central theme.
The first dude's story was pretty cool and funny. John Romero's rise to success was extremely fascinating to listen to. The guy worked his ass off to the bone to achieve his dream. The iOS developers' story was pretty sad but everything is trial and error so hopefully they learned their lesson and keep making games. The last dude's interview was trippy, crazy stuff. I'm definitely looking forward to future episodes.

So what happened to the iOS guys?
Still fighting the good fight... I will keep my eyes peeled for them for sure.
Finally listening to this now. The background music is really distracting. Would love to have an alternate download with no music.
