Just finished disc 1 and played disc 2 briefly. However I didn't complete the Solomon's Battle Arena in Gerome Valley & Karin's tomb quest (can't seem to solve the guy with the watch), but now I'm stuck in Japan so the question is can I move back to Gerome Valley & St. Marguerite Island in Europe later to finish those quests or do I have to finish it before going on to disc 2?

yup you can go back to Europe but it'll take awhile before you can do that.
