A NeoGAF iPhone Web App

Since Thursday I've been getting "HTTP Error 400: Bad Request".

Any way to fix this? I really want to fix this before I head in to the office tomorrow.
 
i have a problem that it doesn't recognize Opera 9.5 mobile (on WinMo).
the links go to the normal gaf pages.
It works with the Opera 9.7 mobile beta... but that one crashes all the time for me.
aside from that it seems to work nice on Opera (9.7)

I'm not sure why, but on me Pre I'm unable to hit the quote button to quote a post and reply to a thread. Whatever I post simply doesn't show up, both in the neogaf app and viewing the thread directly through the Pre browser.

I'm unsure if it really is getting posted and the Pre simply isn't updating the thread properly or what. I don't have access to a PC at the moment and won't for a couple days still.

Hitting reply works just fine. The edit button works, too.
 
Holy shit... it works on PSP!

I'm looking at upgrading my phone so I came into this thread to see what this does & doesn't work on and I see in the OP that the PSP is listed? But the PSP's internet isn't good for anything...

Now, does this work on windows mobile? I see someone above mentioned it working on Opera on windows mobile - but wouldn't WinMo use some sort of IE based program? Is this Safari & Opera only? Thanks in advance
 
I've been out all day. Breakfast, Mall, Grocery shopping and I've used this app on my iPhone at all 3 of those places. I was simply a zombie staring at my phone posting all day. :D

I've had this problem on the iphone too. It depends on which post you're quoting, so it's a bug of some sort. Link the post that you were quoting to ckohler, maybe he'll look into it.

Version 2.3 is now live.

NEW FEATURES
  • Added Insert Image, New Quote, and Ordered List buttons to posting screen
  • Multi-line user tags are no longer cropped
  • Wii Opera browser support (viewing only)
  • Improved Home Screen icon
BUG FIXES
  • Rewrote posting code to (hopefully) fix lost posts bug
  • Reorganized buttons on posting screen moving less commonly used buttons to a hidden second row that is revealed by the "More" button.
  • Long tags should no longer mess up mobile Opera browsers (untested)
 
I've been using this app since before I could post, and I just wanted to say it's amazing. Got me through many boring moments.
 
Thanks for all the work ckohler. I love using it on my Pre. Now, I know this is something you might not be able to answer since you use an iPhone (I assume), but do you have any idea why the "Go to bottom of page" button doesn't work with the Pre browser? I was thinking since they were both webkit based that a function like that would work across both platforms.
 
Actually, I got to test this on a Pre today and discovered there is a stange bug/feature(?) with the Pre browser where in page anchors (links that go to someplace on the same page) don't work at all.

I tried several web sites and in page anchors didn't work anywhere. Either the Pre UI doesn't support them or it's a bug.

Maybe a stupid question. But in the OP the OP got rid of the Safari bars and has it just looking like a normal app. Is that possible for us too?

Yeah this happens to me too, I just taught myself to hit the actual word instead of the arrow. I thought it was a known bug but maybe not.

It was a typo. Fixed.
 
I know I'm so late, but I just tried this on my iPod touch right now and it's amazing for when you just don't wanna move out of the bed and you don't have a laptop :lol

I'm pretty sure that it's a problem with the Pre UI, I just don't think the browser has support for them. It stinks, but oh well, your awesome work makes work days go by faster! Good stuff dude.

I just want to add my voice to the choir singing your praises, ckohler. Thanks again for all your work. Your web app is phenomenal and gets a ton of use on my iPhone.

I use the Photobucket app. You can upload directly from the camera roll, then copy the link provided by the app into your post. I've used it to post screenshots successfully while out and about.
 
I just realized that I forgot to put the updated home screen icon in place when I released 2.3. If you still have the original white icon, I recommend removing it from your home screen and adding the new one. It looks a lot nicer and is better centered.
 
I also wanted to say THANK YOU! Best web app! It's up there with Google's Reader web App in functionality and the amount of time I use it.

This app is seriously keeping me sane right now :lol

Question: Is this app open source or anything? I'd love to use this for my new forum I'm putting together, it would make browsing around on my phone a lot easier. Only asking because I'd never steal another mans hard work! Keep it up dude.
