Give viewing PMs another try when you get a chance. I put some better error handling in however, I'm betting until I figure out the issue, it might look screwy (have missing things).

Also, who failed the login 5 times?

Ugh, got to the the logn screen this time but when I got to submit my info, it said the quota had been reached. I'm assuming all it takes is five different people to fail the login and then the quota can be hit?

says the same error but on line 239 this time

Thanks. :D

I've disabled PM reading for now until I can better understand the problem. There's another approach I can take. Sean, I may ask you and some others to test PMs again when I'm ready.

Yet another thing for MobileGAF to keep up with :)

I did finally start on one pretty slick Notifications feature that could at least not be replicated through a Safari app (yet), so I'll hang my hat on that knowledge until the next release :P

Oh, and I didn't have to resort to AJAX to make this work. In fact, I quickly realized that AJAX would never have worked due to cross-domain restrictions.

Oh, and it would have worked if you'd skipped XmlHttpRequest entirely and just dynamically created a <script> tag that pointed to a web service and called a handler function that took some JSON as a parameter. :D

Notifications coming from your native app sounds pretty slick, Juice.

Oh, so *thats* what people were talking about. I saw a lot online about using JSON to get around that but didn't quite get the picture. Still, there were some other reasons it wouldn't have worked. My original method used non-cookie session IDs and those are somehow generated based on some IP/browser combo. Since the client's IP/browser combo doesn't match cURL on my server, those session IDs never would have worked. Also, they expired after just 15 minutes where as the cookies last forever.

Sure thing.

And sorry for being such a pest, but I'd like the ability to selectively hide forums in a future version (much like how you can hide sticky posts). I never visit the FAQ or Online boards and rather not see them in the forum list.

Not that I know of. Can you be more specific?
Look at the frontpage for OT. I had earlier attempted to login to the iPhone version (and failed, since someone maxed out the signin attempts) so I made a thread using Firefox. A little later, CurseoftheGods made the EXACT same thread. I'm not one to believe in psychic thingys, and that's the only explanation I can think of, assuming he also uses the iPhone version.

For the moment I'm going to assume it wasn't my fault because I'm scratching my head how that could possibly happen.

I wasn't blaming anyone, I'm just as confused and frightened as everyone else.

No worries. You're right to be suspicious I suppose. It worries me too because if it did turn out to be my web app's fault, I'd have to disable posting again.

I <3 you, ckohler. The app is amazing! I'm running into a posting bug at the moment, though. I'll post a screenshot of the error message when I get to a computer. Even without posting, it's my most-used app by a mile.

Was it confirmed he was using the neoGafwebapp, though? and when I looked, the posts aren't the same. Did you ask him if he had made the thread? His only contribution was "wtf". Was he surprised because he hadn't ever posted it, or because he was shocked out the coincidence too?

Well his is the same as mine was originally, cept I edited mine to add the second video. I don't see that he posted in this thread at all, so weather or not he uses it is debatable.

Or for all I know it could just be a hell of a coincidence.

Or it's karma for misusing who's/whose.

Is there a GAF user called 'Chrange'?

Because this members posts keep getting inserted randomly in a thread.

Like, I'll browse a thread where all the posts are like 6AM, and there will suddenly be a post from 'Chrange' from 4PM (which should have been near the end of the thread).

This guy has no tag, and the post number is also missing.

Filing bug report, to see compliment skip ahead to second half of post:

-So I've noticed that user titles stretch the page width in Opera Mini 4.2. It's slightly annoying.

But the app is pretty great (using it on the Nokia 5800), maybe the best way to browse GAF.

I fixed the issue with Chrange's posts. He has crazy HTML in his tag. I had to make a special exception. :p

Not sure what causes the user titles to stretch in Opera Mini. At least it works. :)

Posting with the web app unsubscribes you from a subscribed thread, similar to Mobile GAF. I use subscriptions extensively (By default I subscribe to everything I post in), so this is a bit of a problem for me. I'll log out for now and just do it the old way.

I've been using this web app now for a couple of months (on an instinct with opera mini 4.2). I just wanted to thank you for an incredible job. Keep up the good work!!

Posting from my iPhone. This is awesome! Is there any way to see user cp with the web app? Specifically to see what threads I've subscribed to

Fantastic app through and through. Posting from my iPhone and it's easy. :D

EDIT: Japanese text doesn't seem to be going through though.
