Final Fantasy Tactics: The Tainted Braves
Final Fantasy X: Jecht's Journey
Final Fantasy 6- : War of the Magi
Kingdom Hearts 0: Keyblade War
Lufia: Something Something We Need to Make Use of Taito Games
Ogre Battle: Birth of the Empire

All of these will be mobile ONLY with Lightning cameos.

THIS! The more elaborated certain "events" are, the more you can piss on via shoddy retcon storytelling if you ever choose to make games of said "events". The more vague the details are, the more room you have to elaborate on it without trampling over established information. It's why most of my choices(ideas for prequels) revolve around more obscure eras in those FF games universes, because the closer they are to the time when the main game's story takes place, the more chance they have on fucking up the continuity(and face it, that happens ALL the time, almost to the point that nobody knows how to write stories that fit without fucking up some established idea).

Honestly though, no idea what it would be. Thought about 10 with braska, but there's hardly enough material for 3 games there.

I'm gonna go with: Re-release of a bunch of prequels that already exist in one bundle. Perhaps the FF7 prequels?

It's my problem as well. As much as I love FF7 (it's my 2nd favorite FF behind FF6, and 3rd fave RPG overall), Crisis Core just didn't connect with me. It's just expanding for the sake of expanding, like Dirge of Cerberus was. I did enjoy the battle mode though.

As for Jecht, Auron and Braska's pilgrimage, I think they are interesting characters well enough to deserve their own game. The only problem I'm seeing is it will just be almost the same adventure since the pilgrimage is the same straight path, just minus all the drama that ensued in FFX with Seymour and stuff.

Hate to break it to you, FF6's story sucks. By any level of narrative storytelling it jumps between mediocre & just plan bad. Maybe you should sit down, read the game script & take a real critical look at it's story.

So given that & given the fact that it is not a popular game in series compared to so many others, there is a grand total of 1% chance we will see a prequel trilogy for it.

There's something to admire about your adamant and passionate opinion towards the game, but that's also just what it is: an opinion. If you somehow make the other guy or anyone else change their opinion towards FF6's story, good on you. And, believe it or not, it's a pretty damn popular game considering how old it is, and it's still remembered fondly by many (even if, say, the nostalgia makes them forget about the sucky story).

Actually, maybe it isn't surprising that people may not remember FF6 considering how much of FF13 and its sequels, good games or not, has been shoved down our throats.

I definitely remember the rumor about Deus Ex Universe and how it was so big that it was being cut up into a trilogy now....

I just really wouldn't count on this supposed "face" sticking either. The Keyblade War was supposed to have happened when all the worlds were one, yet the browser game has the same distinct world setup as the other Kingdom Hearts games. This suggests to me that it isn't being taken very seriously as a piece of canon work or even as a representation of what the Keyblade War was supposed to have looked like. I wouldn't worry too much about it affecting the possibility of prequels, whether they actually exist or not.

Hence the disappointment. But yeah, in the long run this is probably as completely irrelevant as KH Mobile.
 
Probably Kingdom Hearts or Deus Ex since they'd have to be insane to go back to Lightning stuff right now.

Type-0 also has an ios prequel, and there was talk of building that brand since it had pretty good reception.

A Jecht/Auron/Baska game would basically be the same thing with a different focus on character development. Instead of a well varied group of men and women of different ages, it would be a trio of men around the same age. The road traveled would be the same, nonetheless, as well as the order the Aeons are obtained. The world, in general, is basically the same as the one in FFX(not much time has changed enough to alter the landscape, similar to FFX-2). The thing you have to ask is, what is the world ending threat? Sin? That's all and well if the original game didn't use that as it's threat, and a sequel/prequel has to do something different. And there HAS to be a world ending threat(with the exception of FFXII, which established itself differently from the others, as it didn't span a world, but a region). FFX-2 seems to be the best sequel(continuation of an installment) so far, because even though it took place a few years after FFX, it distinguished itself enough to be it's own thing in a valid way. The world threat felt just as real as Sin, but didn't feel like they just copy and pasted Sin. The adventure was totally different, as was the world. Gone is the constant state of terror that Sin could come and destroy everything(which if you made a Jecht/Auron/Braska game, it would pretty much be set in the same social atmosphere as FFX).

That's just my two cents. Wanting a game of that, as well as Laguna's younger years(because we didn't get that in FFVIII already.... *sarcastic cough*), is like wanting a game revolving around the time when Steiner and Beatrix fought(resulting in him humbling her by taking her eye, then feeling ultra sorrow for it). Stuff like that is better left for a novella(which could be beneficial, because with stories, you can also go in depth with what a character is thinking).

Wow, what did FFVI do to you, beat you up as a kid or something? I know it's just words on a screen, but I can sense some animosity radiating from it.
 
Three final fantasy tactics games set during the 50 year war. Or 1 set during Ajora's time, another inbetween and the last during the 50 year war. I mean what else could it be?
