To clear things up my point was that Obese MEN were attractive in those times, as they were usually the ones providing for their families. While a plump woman may be more fertile, are OBESE women more fertile/ever seen as more attractive?
I mean, the guy IS attractive and the girl is fat. Attractive and Fat.
I am laughing my ass off imagining them as a buddy cop duo. Tango & Cash. Starsky & Hutch. Riggs & Murtaugh. Attratctive & Fat.

As a fat male...no, no there is not.
Edit: She's not obese. What the hell?
Yes. Some extra body fat was considered desirable for most of history, since thin women were more likely to be malnourished which made them less likely to ovulate/carry a baby to term. However, I don't think there is much evidence for a preference towards outright obesity in the past. There's a big middle ground between stick-thin model and someone who is obese.
maybe it's just the internet circles I travel in, but I've never come across a dude doing feeding/squishing/etc as a fetish. it's always been a chick. well.. now that I think of it, there are bears (is this the right word?), so I guess that counts. On the contrary, there's an entire fetish community around overweight men (and overweight women in some cases) that is interested in squashing / stamping and other things that generally involve crushing or being crushed.
Peter Paul Rubens' Venus at the Mirror
Yes, Venus as in the most beautiful goddess and the goddess of love. And yes, she's outright obese.
an adele stan was a time traveler
so what
i do?So apparently you lack skills with critical thinking.![]()

In all seriousness, using a Greco-roman statue as evidence that there is some sort of historical basis for preference against fat women falls short when there is also a historical basis for dudes liking chubby girls stretching way back before humans got that agriculture shit figured out.
I saw it as him making a sarcastic snide remark about the existence of fat models that represented fertility in reference to how people here shit on Adele.
can't believe I missed this.but how else will people know i'm wearing A&F? i suppose i could wear the tags inside out but that seems a bit much to me.
Why aren't the dudes hefty as well? Are men exempt from those prior statements released by the A&E head honcho?
I don't see the appeal of a woman with no vagina.I think when we start talking about preferences for plump women in antiquity, we should probably keep in mind that this is what was considered the ideal:
Plus don't forget fat will become the new normal :/
Imagine being attracted by more than the looks. How fucked about would that be.
She is pretty clearly obese.Edit: She's not obese. What the hell?

Confident or oblivious? She claims to "know" she's sexy, yet many people would clearly disagree. Overweight people deserve happiness and self-confidence like anyone else. But if it's all based on a distorted self-image? Maybe not such a healthy attitude.I wish I had her abundant self-confidence.

Sexy might be subjective, but it follows a pretty clear pattern of social norms. A warty face and a fat ass won't win you as many admirers as tight abs and a great complexion."Sexy" is 100% subjective, there's nothing distorted about her self-image. If she said she was skinny and fit, then yeah!
And if you measure someones sexiness by GAF consensus, you will notice that there are maybe five sexy people alive on earth and even those are debatable.

I agree, but that's separate from having a realistic self-image.But us as individuals shouldn't let that affect our lives negatively.

I'm not in favor of ceaselessly mocking fat people and treating them as scum, but I think that it is good to encourage them to combat obesity. Social pressure doesn't have to be cruel.
Not your fault. Hundreds of thousands of years of evolution are telling you to think that.
I see what you're saying, but I'm kind of driving at a different point, which is that overweight people can have a positive attitude without resorting to denial or misguided counterarguments that make obesity a point of pride. I don't think it's laudable for people to idealize an unhealthy state. (Naturally this also applies to anorexic fashion models and the like.)No it isn't. If you concede to thinking you are somehow flawed and unable to be sexy because some fucking company says so, then your life is pretty miserable thus negatively affected.

Denial that in our society fat is not in fact sexy. Fit and/or thin people are sexy. According to popular standards.Denial about what? I'm pretty sure she knows she's overweight/obese.
Why? Genetically people who get fat quickly are superior to thin ones

How so?
