Ace Attorney 5 [TGS] trailer

This game looks wonderful in motion. It manages to retain the personality of the sprites which gives me a great sense of relief and also skyrockets my hype.

Something about how you can tell a difference between what a witness is saying and what their facial expression and emotions are expressing. For example, the Bad Cop Who Obviously Did The Tutorial Crime is all shifty eyed and smirking even though he's saying something he should be angry about. I think.

I see, thank you. It's more or less what I thought it was. So this is Kokone's ability like Trucy had the see through thing?

It seems to be along the same lines as the Perceive ability, yeah.

Which means more hilarious segments of a defense attorney going, "OH YEAH WELL YOU LOOK SUSPICIOUS TO ME" while the judge and prosecutor look baffled as you somehow turn that into a salient argument.

Haha this is great, and localization confirmed too!

I'll miss HoboPhoenix, love the guy. On the other hand I give my warmest welcome to SwagPhoenix. Hoping there's a part of the story where he gets to wear the hobo outfit again

Or HoboEdgey :O

Isn't Phoenix on the wrong side of the court?

No. Defense has always been on the left side of the judge but on the right side of the audience/witness. It's a bit more clear when playing the Edgeworth games.

Someone care to explain the kokoroscope thingie? It seems you can read witness emotions?

It's basically a variation of the Bracelets Apollo used, in concept. Rather than trying to hone in on nervous habits that witness may have, it's using a computer to read the emotions of someone when they hit certain words and the like. The tutorial guy is full of anger when the word Lawyer comes out so he gets nailed on it by Phoenix.

This is looking very nice graphics-wise but i do hope they are a bit more interactive like the Edgeworth games. Those give you a lot to look at process making it more interesting aside from looking at the usual evidence and testimony.

Apollo Justice and Edgeworth 2 really do a good job of talking about the coming Dark Age of Law that this game is talking about.

Also dialogue log finally in the game, I think. lol

:O It's coming from a computer so it's a bit less silly this time. It's the new magical gizmo after the little thief. Thanks for the translation/explanation.

I assume it's coming from the computer, she has it in front of her.

Trucy and Apollo's ability isn't all that crazy either, considering you have spirit mediums already.

Dat outlining.

I really like the fact that Wright looks appreciably older. If he looked the same as before it would be incredibly jarring.

Graphics are awesome and that music!! hnnnnnggggg

Compare those facial animations and modelds with the ones found on PLvsAA. Laughable L5, laughable

So just how retconned is Apollo Justice?

Well the dark days of law is the theme of this game, and that was teased in AJ and AAI2. Phoenix also has the locket from AJ on his suit in this game... other then that we have no way to know how must the AJ characters will be in this. It's hard to imagine Trucy not being around with Layton being her adoptive father.

Edit: Wow FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIL Wright not Layton -.-
