I recall during late 80's / early 90's that quite a few figures were produced like this. An entire line, however, of (I'm guessing 4 1/2" scale) figures were made along this gimmick.

This is where you come in GAF.

What toy lines were like this?

:lol

I mean the ones that turn clear in hot water, but turn back to regular colors when they return to room temperature or below.

They were smaller than that, like 2, 2 1/2 inches, similar to MASK, shame I don't remember their name, but I had a few, along with the vehicles.

Yeah, they were a MASK rip-off, their gimmick was the "invisibility". Shit, I can't remember the name, they had a cartoon too.

Remember the He-Man forest guy? He was covered in like a sticky fuzzy carpet. And he smelled, he stunk up the whole car when I got him and collected lint like mad.

my favorite was mesquitor (sp) the guy with the mosquito beak who had the blood flowing through him,

on a side note, the only he man figure i have left is mossman, its amazing you brought that up. there is lint all over it though and i cant get it clean :lol

My Mossman never stunk, but the skunk guy, Stinkor on the other hand did. That was the toy's gimmick, that a foul smelling chemical was added to the plastic he was molded in. I remember I took him to school one day and stuck it in everybody's face, then one of my teacher's took him from me.

Looked up Vor: Tech, and it's a little too late for this--'94 is probably the latest for the figures I'm referring to.

It's not Vor: Tech, damn, I just can't remember the name. I remember I had one of those toys, the little rocket launcher that had a big bucket to put the water. You put the missile in the platform then it goes down to the warm water that turns it invisible and then up again to launch it... shit, I forgot about it.
