Just talking about it in the thread, but Rufus Sewell seems made for his role in The Man in the High Castle.

And, let's be honest...

Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark. It's not like the Tony Stark I remember from cartoons and comics, and I didn't even know it was exactly what I wanted.

I think there are a lot of picks in here that could have easily been played by other actors. Here's one of the few that I think was perfect though:

John Goodman as Fred Flintstone.

Some of my favourite TV ones...

Hugh Laurie as Gregory House in House M.D.

Anthony Starr as Lucas Hood in Banshee

Timothy Olyphant and Walton Goggins as Raylan Givens and Boyd Crowder in Justified

Eva Green as Vanessa Ives in Penny Dreadful

Pam Grier as Jackie Brown. The only person to be so good in their role that they upstaged Samuel L Jackson in a Tarantino film.

Oh God forgot one that no ever knows:

Enver Gjokaj from Dollhouse who played tons of character with an such skill it was fucking creepy. Aka Victor

I know ! I know ! His impressions were fucking uncanny, that was really a joy to watch and it left me with awe everytime.

No mention yet of Ian Mcshane as Al Swearengen in fucking Deadwood is criminal.

I don't even talk about the lack of Idris Elba as Stringer Bell in The Wire.

Not a fan of Dexter, but Ray Stevenson nailed Isaac Sirko like no one could.

I really thought that casting Dave Batista as drax was going to be god awful. But in the end he knocked it out of the park. Also casting chubbly unknown Chris prat as the lead was another inspired choice.

WTF?!?!!

No mention of our lord and master?!?!

Ian Mckellen

Pretty much everyone on lord of the rings were perfectly casted.

Wesley Snipes as Blade

Both Mel Gibson and Danny Glover in Lethal Weapon.
Sigourney Weaver as Ripley
Hugo Weaving as Agent Smith

Whenever Peter Stormare plays a villain, I immediately thought of his role as Lucifer in the otherwise drab film Constantine.

So many wrong answers in here. How you gonna say whats the perfect actor for a role which is an original work to begin with and not an adaption of some other source material.

Ed Norton in Primal Fear.

Ed Norton in Fight Club

Johnny Depp as Edwards Scissorhands

Cate Blanchett as Queen Elizabeth

Hugh Jackman as Wolverine

Christian Bale as Patrick Bateman in American Psycho.

I likewise believe Patrick Stewart is perfect as Charles Xavier.

It's only a shame that the quality of many of the movies that uses either actor in those roles is poor. Hoping Logan is a fine send off for both actors.

When I was a kid I actually used my Picard toy for Professor X when I played with my X-Men toys because I didn't have a toy of him. This was around 92 or 93, so long before the movies.

If anyone in Hollywood would like to pick my brain for my brilliant action figure casting choices, gimme a ring.

As bad as the prequels were, Ewan McGregor was the perfect choice for a younger Obi-Wan. Guy basically was like a younger Alec Guinness.

Recent one for me, Stephen Dillane as Stannis Baratheon in Game of Thrones. Though I didn't like some of the liberties the show took with the character, Dillane IS Stannis and his performance was amazing.

Seriously the best actor in the series.

Karl Urban as Dredd was perfect.

Andre Royo as Bubbles, Dominic West as McNulty, Wendel Pierce as Bunk and Michael K. Williams as Omar from The Wire.
