You're right in that it was nothing special but I still really enjoyed it, a fun middle tier game. Just like their game after that Splatterhouse.

It was only 5 episodes (or 1 movie) and meant to be nothing more than action. Its still has the most impressive sword fights I have seen in animation. Not to mention some really badass opponents.
