And that's without a GPU crippling "hair FX" toggle that's only available on PCs. PS3 and 360 versions of the game had this.

Dunno, i still haven't got impressed by a similar effect in a current gen game.

Lara in Rise of the Tomb Raider looks better than that IMO...its not loose hair though. I hope we get better with this next gen, hair and clothing moving realistically.

I own it on PC but never played. Should I?
The game has great art direction and interesting story but problem the level design feels the same even tho has its own look because you are mostly doing same type of platforming in every stage.

OP is on point. All is well. What a beautiful, immersive game. Probably the only part that irritated me was the overlong hatter level and the oriental themed one.

Hmm, that's a bummer, but I'll give it a try, thanks :)

After 16 years, silent hill 3's lightning still looks great! I honestly feel that most of the improvement in new generations come from resolution, which is like brute force more than anything. Hell, even upscaled ps2 and wii games look great now.

I really liked this game, but it's true that it gets boring halfway through, or even sooner than that. The first game (American McGee's Alice) is a lot better though, and has an amazing soundtrack.

I've long wanted to get this game, but I always seem to miss it when it occasionally pops up on the Xbox Live sales list.

It's a really good looking game, just wish the game played as well as it looked. Wouldn't mind seeing a new one but this is EA we're talking about.

No doubt that looks awesome! only things i can think that come close are witcher 3 with hair works, tomb raiders, and batman's cape in arkham games.

Amazing game with a amazing art, weapons and music

its sad that this game is part of EA... The most impresive thing is was development by a Chinese Studio.

McGee's Alice was some next level shit back in the day. Shame the dude was a one hit wonder. I'd like to play it again, but my old cd copy is long gone. Dunno if it's available digitally anywhere, but it is absolutely worth a play.

Another franchise that EA let die......
Ea yes but Mcgee isn't going to let it die, there's a patreon for a new game.

And back to topic, yes, the hair in this game are some of the best still today.
I really like this game, some levels are quite repetitive, for sure, but the atmosphere was so good, it was a really nice game. A new episode with better gameplay and more variety, with still the same amazing art direction, would be fantastic. I think the game is still really worth playing, for people wondering, at least if you are interested in the universe of the game. If you just want something with an amazing gameplay and only that and don't care about Alice, maybe not.

An amazing looking game for sure. I have the artbook.
But the gameplay is sickeningly bad - just atrocious. I get sick to the stomach just thinking about it. That said I still like the game and its predecessor for some reason - just a big Alice in Wonderland fan I guess.

Alice Madness returns in playable on xbox 1 backwards compat - and the first game is included.

As fun as it is to poop on EA, I'll give em a pass on this one. The game sold really, really poorly and it's reviews were tepid at best, can't really blame em on this one.

I bought the game full price at launch for 360 though so don't look at me :p

Yep, I also found this one really boring (the levels are so long!). Thought it was just me but apparently not.

lets not be ridiculous. gameplay is fine. controls are good, fighting mechanics aren't deep but they work well and the platforming is great. only thing thats bad were those annoying slides. camera could have been better too, but other than that i really dont see whats bad about this game. kinda reminds me of a game of the ps2/gc/xbox generation just with much better visuals. this was one of my biggest surprise hits this year. always ignored the game, but damn i really enjoyed the heck out of this. still need to play the original but the controls on xbox kinda seemed weard. i guess the pc version is better.

I enjoyed finding the truffle pigs.. the flying pig noses that you usually had to first hear the snorting then follow the sound to where they were hiding.
