Managed to become nr1 a few times but it's pretty damn hard to maintain that position because you actually shrink very slowly if you don't absorb others for a while.

Yup, I managed to figure this out during my latest hour(!) of play. It helped me eventually settle "Bara Husbando" to around #3 in my group before finally getting backed into a spike cell trap and taken out by a well aimed division. I was even #1 for a few glorious seconds.

Speaking of which, spike cells are a HUGE part of my strategy while small. As we all probably know they can't hurt you if you're smaller than them so you can hide in them to ward off bigger enemies. But it's also handy even if you're a little bigger than them because you can easily squeeze into any groups of them in a way that the bigger cells usually can't, especially if they're WAAY bigger than you (so that even splitting would make them too big and they'd launch and get split) or just a little bigger than you (so that splittingwould make you the bigger of the group.

That last picture is crazy. lol I managed to stay 1st for quite some time but eventually someone got me when I was split. I also had a faceoff with the no1 when I was no2 and I managed to eat him after eating an other cell.

Some of it i think is it just gets boring after a while and people want to just do something crazy

I just had a great game as a Yaranaika. There was another guy there with the same name, so we both had the face. Every time we ran into each other, we were almost the exact same size. Close enough that neither could eat the other. So I just started following him, trying to trap people. Eventually, we came up against another guy who was slightly bigger than us, and I realized we couldn't take him separately. So I moved inside the other guy and mashed space and he doubled in size and ate the guy. He quickly moved to number 1, so I started playing support. I'd run around as a little guy, and bait others into splitting towards me, with the big guy right behind me, just out of view. We had a good run until he decided to pay it forward to someone else and make a new king.

Yeaaaa, got first for a good while, then was in the top 5 for a long time, and then got first again. And then I gave my blobs away to some guy named fritfrat since we were like bros cause we were at the same size and just casually passing by and at times, we went after each other but failed lol.
